If we're talking about the first players that come into our heads when we think of a jersey number there might not necessarily be a rhyme or reason to it, beyond them being favourite players, players from favourite teams or prominent players from the era we each grew up during. That's the reasoning behind the players I posted, anyway.

After further deliberation, I'd like to revise my list with the players I feel have placed a stamp on their jersey numbers due to the success they had while wearing it and their status as noteworthy players in NBA history (or at the very least, the era in which they played).

I guess it comes down to everyone's choices but looking at some of the numbers I think it might be best up to two or three players for some numbers, with some overlap. Anyway, just a suggestion.
