Going to the theater to go see Harold and Kumar 2 tonight, hopefully its as good or even better than the first one.

Just watched the Kingdom of Heaven.
Despite having a star studded cast (Liam Neeson, Jeremy Irons, Edward Norton, and Legolas) the film was a snoozefest to me. The telling of the plot seems bland and the pacing also is slow.
The only thing that kept me watching was the medieval fight scenes. I enjoy watching such scenes especially siege action.

Well, Harold and Kumar 2, and it certainly didn't disappoint. There were some corny parts that you wouldn't expect but overall it was great laughs and shocking at the same time.

I watched The Green Mile at my brother's place this past weekend, another movie that most people saw at the time (or near enough) that I didn't. I thought it made a fine movie, though I've never read the book so I can't really compare.

I'm hoping that I could watch Iron Man over the weekend. The trailer gave me too much hype.

I found this hilarious. Thought I'd share it with the ones who were discussing Juno on the previous page.

Eh? Edward Norton wasn't in Kingdom of Heaven.

Wed Apr 30, 2008 3:17 pm

Yes he was. He was King Baldwin, according to imdb.

I haven't seen Norton in that movie either, pretty sure it's an error.

Norton is wearing the mask.

Thu May 01, 2008 4:20 am

My bad, I don't even remember seeing his name in the credits...

Thu May 01, 2008 8:26 am

regardless, Kingdom of Heaven was still a snoozefest.

*me slaps cyanide and el badman for their ignorance*

Thing is I watched the movie twice (there was a replay on TV) just to know who was the actor in the mask. That stand-off between him and Saladin was the scene that piqued my curiosity.

The internets isn't within ready reach to me these days.

Been needing to reformat my desktop, so been going through all the files and whatnot... and got sidetracked and started watching movies.... re-watched all the Pirates of the Carribean, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, and Kung Fu Hustle

Iron Man ftw: little bit too much dialogue but still damned good

HAS HE LOST HIS MIND? CAN HE SEE OR IS HE BLIND?

*HEAD BANGS*

Tue May 06, 2008 9:23 am

:( Haven't watched it yet. Though I heard that Black Sabbath's badass song is really played in the movie. :headbang:

 at the two being jerks. Priceless.

Wed May 07, 2008 11:42 pm

 That was hilarious. Though I've always liked Iron Man more than any other superhero. And I've always thought Mandarin was a great villain.

i watched juno last night, and came away with only 1 question. do kids really talk like that now?

Thu May 08, 2008 7:09 am

I thought Juno was quite entertaining, nothing phenomenal, but good writing and solid acting. Ellen Page is funny as hell.
I also rented The Orphanage, which is pretty damn good, and Charlie Wilson's War which was extremely enjoyable, Tom Hanks is just the man...

Thu May 08, 2008 7:14 am

but you didnt answer my question, do kids reall talk like that?

Thu May 08, 2008 9:07 am

From the link I posted before:

ELLEN PAGE

That’s right! I found it in the fridge, behind the purple stuff! Now relinquish the bathroom key geeves, I for shizz need to spout.

RAINN WILSON

I can barely understand you. Is there a reason you’re talking like what seems like a teenager designed by a committee of adults that have researched youth by watching MTV around the clock?

ELLEN PAGE

Yes, and you better start talking like that too or you’ll have no place in the movie, Dwight.

ELLEN PAGE

Hey Olivia. So I’m pregs for real.

OLIVIA THIRLBY

OhMyGodLikeForRealForRealPregs?

ELLEN PAGE

Holy crap, what the hell are you saying? Did someone encrypt your copy of the script or something?

OLIVIA THIRLBY

YouShouldTotallyGetAnAToTheBortion.

ELLEN PAGE

Yeah. First I need you to help me salvage the chair I lost my virginity in, which is on a lawn for some reason that is almost definitely quirky.

They take the chair, then ELLEN sets up an entire living room
set in front of MICHAEL CERA’S HOME.

MICHAEL CERA

Ellen, hey. I like the couch on my front sidewalk, it’s incredibly quirky of you.

ELLEN PAGE

Yeah, well I’m pretty quirky.

MICHAEL CERA

So what are you doing here? Do you need someth-

ELLEN PAGE

Wait, hold on. Your track team is about to come running by and I need to do a voiceover narration for no particularly reason, even though I only do it like three more times in the entire movie.

  In case you were still wondering, Sauru, kids don't really talk like that. At least, kids with an IQ that's higher than 80 don't talk like that.

Fri May 09, 2008 12:24 am

but you didnt answer my question, do kids reall talk like that?

:D
Beats me too man, I wouldn't know...
Yeah it was probably a bit excessive and unnatural at times, but it's not as bad as other movies or series out there I think.
