The videos have torn down all my hope for dynasty mode.
1. u still can't negotiate contracts with free agents (ala 2k3).
2. no rookie scouting and rookie workouts (ala 2k3).
3. Offseason is still too short. (There is no time to play the summer free agency period, to work out contracts like 2k3). The cpu has already signed all the big name free agents, without giving the user a chance to get quality players.
4. Not able to trade players anytime during summer free angency period. (ala 2k3).
5. No mid level exception (ala 2k3). Most Nba players are acquired through the use of the mid-level exception.
6. to get a good coaching staff u got to complete objective's to get points, instead of wisely using money to get coaches and scouts. This can only hurt weak teams that are rebuilding (ala Jazz and Nuggets) who have tons of cap space.
Its clear that the developers just play basketball, but don't really follow basketball as some of the major flaws/omissions that were in live 2003 franchise mode are yet to be fixed. I feel Live's gameplay will be great this year (don't know if 2k4 or live will be better). However, they are still way behind on the franchise mode. The way it is looking now, live is yet to catch up to sega's 2k3 franchise mode yet alone 2k4.
Im still getting both 2k4 and live, but i don't think i'll be able to play a franchise in live though. But thats just my 2 cents.
