Huzzah! Look at those slider what a glorious addition...

hmm, are there actually any screens or vids containing the menu-system/GUI of the pc version of live 2004 out?
i hope they´ll have a pc-specific gui soon, i can´t stand that console-style menu where you have huge fonts and no infos and crappy overall maneuverability(think back to pre-console live versions, those were the days

).

I'm glad there are so many sliders ....that only means we have more control over the type of basketball game we want to play. Sliders are part of the game coding in itself only they give it a user interface. So whatever u dont like ....CHANGE IT !

by Mid november there will probably be need for a realistic gameplay slider sticky if the game style doesnt cater to most ppl right out o the box. The player faces are so much better than last year i have to give EA credit based on what I see so far because even the lesser athletes have fairly well done faces and Tmac and Lebron were spot on. I dont hear anyone ranting about playing with stumpy players anymore since the gameplay videos have been released. Infact I think this years live has better body models than any basketball game. This year looks to be the best of the series

I'm dissapointed with the Draft, I thought I was gonna see rookies walk up and then hold their jerseys.

The game looks very nice.
Great graphics in the in-game, and i like the cut-scenes.
The menus look good, too.
Too bad nothing of this would go on my computer ....

how can you be dissapointed with the draft? last year they didnt even had this, and now they add this cool add-on, and you say you are dissapointed with a small minor detail like that?

In dynasty mode we can only choose 1 team? But in season mode we can pick several teams? I don't understand this? I hope we can edit some dbf files on the PC version so we can use more than 1 team in dynasty mode. All this coming from Steve over at OS.

The videos have torn down all my hope for dynasty mode.
1. u still can't negotiate contracts with free agents (ala 2k3).
2. no rookie scouting and rookie workouts (ala 2k3).
3. Offseason is still too short. (There is no time to play the summer free agency period, to work out contracts like 2k3). The cpu has already signed all the big name free agents, without giving the user a chance to get quality players.
4. Not able to trade players anytime during summer free angency period. (ala 2k3).
5. No mid level exception (ala 2k3). Most Nba players are acquired through the use of the mid-level exception.
6. to get a good coaching staff u got to complete objective's to get points, instead of wisely using money to get coaches and scouts. This can only hurt weak teams that are rebuilding (ala Jazz and Nuggets) who have tons of cap space.
Its clear that the developers just play basketball, but don't really follow basketball as some of the major flaws/omissions that were in live 2003 franchise mode are yet to be fixed. I feel Live's gameplay will be great this year (don't know if 2k4 or live will be better). However, they are still way behind on the franchise mode. The way it is looking now, live is yet to catch up to sega's 2k3 franchise mode yet alone 2k4.
Im still getting both 2k4 and live, but i don't think i'll be able to play a franchise in live though. But thats just my 2 cents.

I appreciate the little 5 second snippet of the rookie crying and barely being able to see their face but I guess you can say i overanticipated and was ecpecting more.

yes! more videos, i've been checking back on os and here for more movies everytime.
and -----after watching
aw... yeah the dynasty ones are still a lil disspointed, but i still have hope, still want to get it. maybe they just took the wrong lil clip at the bad-er part of the game? lol

On the bright side, we all know that the PC game will give us more room to play with via dbf editing and patches etc..so I'm not too upset yet.
