From the Trade Deadlineto the End of the Season, there were no outstanding performances of debuts for our rookies, so here are their regular season stats:
Jamie Morrison
Morrison had a solid rookie season, as he also
made the All-Rookie Second Team, leading all rookies in assists with 6.9. He had 67 games, and 10.8 ppg as the Cavaliers starting point guard. If they can hold onto and develop him, he could be the missing link for the Cavaliers' title quest.
Ivan Shchipanski
Ivan Shchipanski was having a fantastic opening season, as he gained a starting spot just before the All-Star break, due to his solid average of 3.7 points off the bench. However, he dislocated his shoulder in his first start and missed the remainder of the season. The question remains, though, will he start next season?
Jon Smith
Jon Smith had a very interesting season, suiting up often but not always playing. When he played, however, he was decent as he averaged a point and a rebound in 4 minutes per game. He is a solid player with drive to improve and break into the Celtics rotation.
Kyle Deardorn
Smith's teammate Kyle Deardorn had a similarly interesting season, as he averaged just over a point and an assist in his 55 games for the Celtics. It will be interesting to see how he builds on this season in the coming months.
Luke Washburn
There is not much to say about Luke Washburn, as he only competed in 5 games and failed to score a point. He did, however, grab 1.4 rebounds per game.
Unfortunately, Martti Must failed to play in any games this season.
More coming soon...
