I'd have to say not my type of art for the most part; the sculptures are cool though. Call me old fashioned or uneducated but it seems to me if a walker locked to a pole with a bike lock can be art, then anything random thrown together - Conan's Cactus Chef playing "We didn't start the fire" on a flute, anyone? - can qualify as art.

What do you like about Pollock? I've learned about him in art history, and I'm still not convinced. I got to admit, it looks way better in real life when I saw it at MoMa at New York, but still, I'm still skeptical about his works.

I'm not an art fan that's into the minute details, I just like his works. I used to have this book that has pics of his paintings. I like how everything seems to blend together even if it looks "messy". I can stare at it for an hour or so, and that's just a picture in a book.
Personal preference, I guess.

I guess I can understand how his works can captivate a viewer, but it's the process that I'm unconvinced. He claims to get lost in his work (perhaps so) but the idea of spraying paint of specific colors across the canvas using intuition and dance doesn't justify one of the greatest artists of all time, imo.

Same here. I don't get his methods.
I do like his work, but I'm not crazy over it as to worship him as one of the greatest, considering how he makes those.
