A petition for bringing 2k8 to the PCs

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

The PC gamers have never had a choice; they have always been forced to purchase a product of EA Sports if they wished to play a basketball simulation on their computers.

is the "on their computers" part necessary? we've identified them as PC gamers already in that sentence, which really makes that part redundant.

Hey guys, I just signed up to forums to respond to this topic.

I feel your pain, EA has taken the same approach when it comes to their other franchises.

ALSO.....

Just a suggestion, definitely leave out the "shun" part of letter, coming from a business background, that seems to point to the fact that the fan base could be ready to turn on a dime. Not to mention, if they feel if the fan base would turn back to EA if they address those concerns, they may feel its not worth the effort.

Good Luck!

The letter looks good especially with the little editing done.

If anybody posts at OperationSports or any 2k forums, you should link them to our petition. (Y)

You should post a link to benji's letter as an addendum, like what he did with the petitions and videos. Also mention the sites w/c benji sent the letter to..
20 members of EA (including the COO of EA Canada), IGN, GameSpot, Operation Sports, Game Daily, Game Informer, 1UP, GameSpy, ShackNews and Joystiq have all recieved the letter.

and the sites that featured it..

to give a bit of proof about the discontent of Live fans with EA's product.

Maybe we could do as shadowgrin suggested, put the letter on a website, do the same thing as Benji did, send the letter and the link to gaming sites. That should create some media attention. In addition to that, we gotta figure out a way to where that e-mail should be sent to. If somebody is familiar with the 2K production team, that somebody should be able to help us. Perhaps some big 2K fan site?

I somehow don't find e-mail adresses of any of the major Internet sites. It's not surprising, but it would certainly be helpfull is someone who was in contact with any of the aforementioned sites (IGN, Gamespot,...) provided us with the needed info. I think we have our letter, we have our votes and it's time to make the next step and actually send the petition.
