Another Close Game
In the first it looked as though the Bulls were in control, but the Nets were lifted by their fans to have a 22-18 lead. Krstic was very good on defense and offense who had 6 points, 1 rebound, 1 assist and 1 block. Vince Carter had 7 points as he showed off his dunking skill with some spectacular dunks to the enjoyment of the home fans.
When the second started, the Nets had a totally new line up except for Collins who moved to the Centre position. Robinson, Murray, Wright & McInnis were all given the chance to start off in the second. Wright showed signs of wonderful scoring ability making Gordon look like a rookie, but was taken off mid-way through the second in place of Vince Carter.
Vince Carter picked up a leg injury so Wright was straight back out there to prove himself.
The game was getting tight and the Nets were only leading by 1 point when Chandler made the bucket and was fouled. He missed the three-point play oppurtunity and the score remained 31-30.
The crowd lifted when Cliff Robinson grabbed the offensive rebound, but they lifted even more when he found Wright wide open to hit the three! The score was now 33-31.
We were informed that Vince Carter would be out for the rest of the game and that was a huge blow to the Nets.
Jason Kidd finally came on to the excitement of the fans with under a minute left and did not dissapoint, he slowed down the play and with only 0.8 seconds left he hit a three pointer giving the Nets the lead, 38-31 at the half.
Players of the Half
The Nets came out firing with Wright, the rookie, shooting another three to extend the Nets lead, but Gordon was right there to respond, drawing the foul and getting the bucket. He completed the 3 point play, but the Nets were still infront 34-41.
The Bulls came within two points and Jason Kidd was forced to be replaced because of foul trouble. The Bulls hit the lead because the Nets could not convert on their chances.
At the end of the quarter, the Bulls kept their 1 point lead with it ending 54-53.
The last quarter did not start very well for the Nets with them missing two consecutive buckets and the Bulls scoring on their only possesion. Although Vaughn was the savour, first, it was Murray that blocked Hinrich, and then Vaughn shot two three pointers to give the Nets the lead, 59-56!
The Nets got abit over excited and went for another three pointer but they failed and that lead the Bulls to bring the lead down to 1. Gordon stole the ball, on the next play, from Robinson and that set up Deng for the easy 2 and the lead, 60-59 but Collins was fouled and made the tough basket. He missed the three point play, but the Nets were infront by 1 point.
Once again, the Bulls had a huge surge and they were infront by only 2, but Jason Kidd came back onto the floor and hit an amazing 3 pointer with Deng right in his face to give the lead back to the Nets.
The crowd erupted when Jason Kidd stole the ball off Hinrich and went to the hoop for an easy lay up and increase the Nets lead by 3 making the score 70-67.
The Bulls once again went into the lead by 1 point thanks to Gordon, but Jefferson was fouled at the line and only scored 1, which made the score 71-71. Jefferson surprised the Bulls when he intercepted the pass and slam dunked it over Hinrich and gave the Nets the lead by 2.
Chicago took a timeout right after the Jefferson play with 27 seconds left of the game and it paid off when Gordon sunk the three to give the Bulls the lead 74-73.
The Nets weren't about to give up and Richard Jefferson took the risk and went for a 3 pointer and, it went in! This was surely the end of the Bulls and it was.
The Nets won 76-74.

Injury Report
Vince Carter's injury in the second quarter was examined and he was told that he would not play for the rest of the game. Luckily for the Nets, he wouldn't miss any games, but this injury would effect his performance somewhat.
P.S I forgot to take pictures of the scores so I had to improvise and I also forgot to take a picture of the player of the game.
