Some small transactions
Lakers trade Arron Mckie and Sasha Vujacic to Atlanta for Tyronne Lue, Donta Smith and a 2nd round pick.
Lakers also signed Jason Caffey for $500,000 for the rest of the season.
A few reasons for these moves: The caffey signing was simple, I needed another big man who could defend and get rebounds. Odom is a great asset, but if he gets into foul trouble too much pressure is on Brian Cook. The hawks deal was basically to unload Mckies contract and I consider Lue an upgrade over Vujacic. Plus its good to see Kobe, George and Lue reunited with Phil Jackson. Ah, another reason for the Caffey signing, Phil Jackson!

.
The Lineup I went with:
C: Mihm
PF: Lamar
SF: George
SG: Kobe
PG: Smush
I haven't really gotten a handle on how to use Walton in this game just yet, so I went with George.
Chicago @ L.A.
This was my first game on superstar (or whatever its called, the fourth hardest setting

) and immediately you could tell the differences. No fastbreaks on every possesions, no hitting 20 footers with Mihm. The Bulls came out strong as the Lakers were unable to really find their groove with the new lineup, and Kobe picked up 2 quick fouls which didnt help either. Odom scored 11 1st quarter points but the bulls led 30-27. In the second Chicago continued to play well and I continued to just make stupid play after stupid play, and Chicago led by 10 before a 12-2 run capped by a kobe 3 point play tied the game, but the Bulls finished the quarter with a floater by gordon on the buzzer to give them a 60-58 lead.
2nd half
The lakers came out fired up in the second half, with odom scoring on a bank shot, then george getting a steal and dishing to kobe for a dunk and a foul on gordon (which was his fourth) to give the lakers a 3 point lead. With Gordon on the bench, the bulls suprised everyone by going to piatkowski rather than Penny (i forgot to upload his screenshot, ill do so later). Kobe would simply explode for 18 3rd quarter points, and when the bulls resorted to double teaming him, he found players like brian cook and lamar for easy shots around the rim. The lakers outscored the bulls 35-19 in that quarter and took a very healthy 93-79 into the fourth quarter. The Bulls started by scoring the first 4 points of the quarter, so I put kobe back in and Gordon picked up two fouls, one over the back, and another attempting to block a kobe jumper which saw his exit. Once he left the game was essentially over and the final score was L.A. 118, the Bulls 100.
