Doesn't look like they'll be any assurances of a Game 7 being shown until the Conference Finals where they commit to showing the entire series. Personally, I hope they show the East this year.
And even though it's the third time I've said it...I'm still disappointed we didn't get Cavs/Wizards as well as or instead of Spurs/Kings.
Right now it's listed as being Game 2 of an unidentified series this Thursday. Looking at the schedule on NBA.com, it looks like it might be the TNT broadcast of New Jersey/Miami.
But who wants to see that? They've got American Tractor Pulling on tomorrow, they can't bump that for the NBA.
Actually most of the day is taken up by UEFA and since soccer/football has a large worldwide following that's not too bad I guess. Better than scrabble and spelling bee championships.
I'd imagine you would. I'd say they'll show them at some point, they've done a decent job offering variety so far in the Playoffs. Each of the games they've shown so far has been from a different series.
I think CBS or whoever gets 1st right to choose games, so ESPN always ends up with the 2nd most popular games of the day....it won't matter when it gets to the Conference Finals though....really when they are on, we should see all games played
I've got a sinking feeling it's going to be the West again, though since the East is likely to be Detroit/New Jersey or Detroit/Miami and they did Spurs/Suns last year maybe they'll reconsider. I know not everyone will agree but I'm an Eastern fan so I'm a little biased.
If it isnt showing Detroit - then I wouldnt mind seeing Dallas play Suns or Clippers. I really dont want to see Spurs play 7 games though... that would suck.
If Detroit plays Miami, they might get the airtime - I imagine Miami to be quite popular.
