They need to somehow add Suns/Lakers Game 7 on Sunday :P

Fri May 05, 2006 8:20 pm

originally they had both the Sat & Sun games on the TV schedule, but Sunday's game was erased.

Fri May 05, 2006 8:41 pm

i know it was good, last week they had Detroit vs Milwaukee on a sunday

Sat May 06, 2006 5:22 pm

Doesn't look like they'll be any assurances of a Game 7 being shown until the Conference Finals where they commit to showing the entire series. Personally, I hope they show the East this year.

And even though it's the third time I've said it...I'm still disappointed we didn't get Cavs/Wizards as well as or instead of Spurs/Kings.

Sat May 06, 2006 5:46 pm

so what would be our next game?

Sat May 06, 2006 5:52 pm

Right now it's listed as being Game 2 of an unidentified series this Thursday. Looking at the schedule on NBA.com, it looks like it might be the TNT broadcast of New Jersey/Miami.

Sat May 06, 2006 6:17 pm

damn shame they aren't showing the Suns-Lakers Game 7 (N)

Sat May 06, 2006 6:46 pm

But who wants to see that? They've got American Tractor Pulling on tomorrow, they can't bump that for the NBA.

Actually most of the day is taken up by UEFA and since soccer/football has a large worldwide following that's not too bad I guess. Better than scrabble and spelling bee championships.

Tue May 09, 2006 6:33 pm

Scrabble isnt that bad - its when they show repeats of scrabble that its bad... there MUST be something else they can show

Anyway... on Thursday we have Suns/Clippers Game 2
And on Saturday its Heat/Nets Game 3

Tue May 09, 2006 6:51 pm

Granted the repeats are worse, but surely there are more interesting events to televise.

Sounds good to me. (Y)

Tue May 09, 2006 9:08 pm

Personally i'd rather see the 2 other series.

Tue May 09, 2006 9:53 pm

I'd imagine you would. :P I'd say they'll show them at some point, they've done a decent job offering variety so far in the Playoffs. Each of the games they've shown so far has been from a different series.

Tue May 09, 2006 10:13 pm

I think CBS or whoever gets 1st right to choose games, so ESPN always ends up with the 2nd most popular games of the day....it won't matter when it gets to the Conference Finals though....really when they are on, we should see all games played

Tue May 09, 2006 10:21 pm

They've got Games 1 through 7 listed as they did last year, I'm assuming once again they'll be exclusive to one of the series though.

Tue May 09, 2006 11:42 pm

for the sake of humanity not the West...it'll probably Spurs v Suns and we know how that's gonna end up...Spurs 4- Suns 1.

If it was Dallas v Clipps i wouldnt mind, but hell i wanna see Detroit play.

Wed May 10, 2006 6:17 pm

I've got a sinking feeling it's going to be the West again, though since the East is likely to be Detroit/New Jersey or Detroit/Miami and they did Spurs/Suns last year maybe they'll reconsider. I know not everyone will agree but I'm an Eastern fan so I'm a little biased.

Wed May 10, 2006 7:07 pm

If it isnt showing Detroit - then I wouldnt mind seeing Dallas play Suns or Clippers. I really dont want to see Spurs play 7 games though... that would suck.

If Detroit plays Miami, they might get the airtime - I imagine Miami to be quite popular.

Wed May 10, 2006 7:15 pm

WTF yesterday it said NBA Confrence Semi Finals Game 2

Now I have nothing scheduled :(

Wed May 10, 2006 8:43 pm

yep, instead they've added a game for Wednesday the 17th...which is either suns-clips.....nets-heat.

Thu May 11, 2006 6:10 pm

That was disappointing, first time they've done that this year.

Thu May 11, 2006 7:54 pm

DAMMIT! i come home, avoid the internet all day so as not to ruin the score, and they cancel the game!

I hate you ESPN Australia!

Thu May 11, 2006 8:08 pm

I seriously think we need to make some petition or something because it's getting ridicolous

Thu May 11, 2006 9:09 pm

Ill sign it straight away.

If someone wants to make it, they have my wholehearted support.

Hmm...

Thu May 11, 2006 10:25 pm

I think he means ESPN in general?...

For example, the time they didnt show a replay of the game that was on earlier, despite it being scheduled.
