just passing through and noticed how it seemed to be opponents' point guards that you seemed to have most problems on.
this used to happen to me all the time, and i decided that enough was enough when that smarmy, springy-haired ryan-giggs-look-a-like (maybe that's just me) luke ridnour dropped 39 pts on me.
to solve this i had to end my love-affair with zippy attacking guards like nash and parker (just as well, eva was giving me funny looks

) and take on more defensive players. to begin with i started playing with detroit and player locking chauncey, just to get a feel for his style, but i then decided that i would need to move heaven and earth before i could get the pistons to relax their grip on the all-star billups in dynasty mode.
so, my eventual decision was to restart my season with a tailor-made defensive point guard with good passing ability from create-a-player mode.
my design brief was to make a 6'4" rookie guard with good perimeter defense and stealing ability, as well as def. awareness and passing. and thus antron pippen made his babysteps into the nba, ready to follow in the footsteps of his dad.
and now... with scoring from yao and mcgrady, stopping from swift and newly signed sg bonzi wells, and a court run by super-rookie antron pippen- the rockets are ready to blast off

.
so, there's your answer, if you can't get hold of jkidd or billups, grab a create a player and practice perimeter D. failing that-learn how to stay between your man and the basket-you'll be surprised how much you can limit the opponent's scoring by forcing a tough jumper rather than a drive, which risks a foul and basket, even if you have shaq and zo hanging in the post ready to block.
skam.
