It's really not Jesus' birthday.
The Roman Catholic Church of old just made it to December 25 to make it easier to the pagan converts then. December 25 was the day they celebrate/worship some sort of sun god, I think. (I think it was) Emperor Constantine made the shift to December 25 so the new converts wouldn't be confused anymore with the date of the joyous celebration. :xmas:
