I was lucky enough to be on vacation at a club med in florida during spring break, got to see all the collge games and TJ Ford is an awesome pg.Dan Gadzuric wrote:but from what I've read he's the best real PG out of college since Kidd.
I have never seen Milicic play
LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are better than Milicec for many reasons
Does this mean everyone in the NBA is better than LeBron James?
Does this mean everyone in NBDL is better than LeBron James?
Does this mean everyone in European Pro Basketball is better than Lebron James?
He probably would have taken Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan as well.
I believe you have the right to believe what you believe, but your reasoning is bankrupt.
Right, Bowie was a disappointment but notice that Portland was not going to draft a Shooting Guard a year after they Got Clyde Drexler, another terrific SG and if you know what I'm talking about, you wouldn't make the mistake of getting a shooting guard when you don't need it, especially when you didn't know what MJ was going to do. Houston went to get Yao Ming, terrific player but not the best of the Draft since he was not the one taking the Rookie of the year, however, the Rockets took what they needed and that's good for the franchise. You can't blame those teams for getting what they need when they do it, that's why there's a draft, you don't take the player people think you should but you take player you are really in need to, if you want to win of course.
Andrew wrote:If history is anything to go by, Milicic is pretty much assured to be a top 3 pick, since talented young players with potential have been popular choices in recent times, especially with players like Kobe and KG entering the league at a young age and establishing themselves among the NBA's elite. Milicic is also 7'0" 245 (according to nbadraft.net), and big men tend to be chosen ahead of guards and swingmen.
That would suggest Darko will be taken ahead of LeBron, but it seems to be a forgone conclusion that LeBron will be something special, and there's almost too much hype for him to be taken with a lower pick. Then again, the best player doesn't always go first (as has already been mentioned), and no one wants a Pervis Ellison/Michael Olowokandi situation.
