Random Rants

Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

...there's always gotta be some homosexual or some dyke on these shows, I think this equal opportunity stuff has gone too far :) "I'm more than just a sexaulity"... yeah you're also an ass.

When they showed big brother from around the world here, where they showed snippets of the other countrie's show's, it seemed much more interesting because it wasn't so censored. They'd allow swearing/nudity all the time, people got into fights, and even broke back into the house after being evicted. Now that's entertaining.

I hate to change the subject, but I need to get this out of my system.

People should think before they speak. They should think about the effects of what their words have on people. Does it hurt your brain to take an extra second and think, "Is what I'm about to say going to hurt someone's feelings?" I don't think so. I always try and check if what I says going to hurt someone. Because to one person it might be a joke, but the other guy might take it the wrong way and you find him the next day with a bullet in his head.

You know that expression, "treat others as you want to be treated"? or whatever? That expression is total BS. I always try and treat people with friendliness and respect, and half the time they blow it back in my face. I hate that. Think about other people, you selfish jerks. (I'm not talking to you guys; I'm talking about those people who don't think about other people). like the other day I brought a picture of the cyberface I was working on of myself to show a guy. Well some people were like hey can I see that? So I was like, I guess, I didn;'t really want to show them. If they had said, "It doesn't look like you" I could have taken that, because I agreed. But they said, "it looks like Phil" (which is this other guy I know who the face looked NOTHING like) which kind of set me off. I was having a lousy day, and people had to go and shit all over something I was kind of proud of, crappy as it was. The worst part was that these people are my friends, some friends they are, they don't think about what the other people are gonna feel.

That's why I kinda like internet communications; some people say that its too impersonal, but I thinks its great that in a community such as our Nba live community, Age, Race, Sex... it all means nothing because we don't know what each other looks like... we don't know how old we are... and it doesnt matter because we all like Nba live.

I'm feelin you man. There's this play called No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre that's basically about how hell is other people. I don't know what to tell you but I love that you think a Jesus quote is total bullshit. All any of us really, truly care about is ourselves(IMO, of course) its just that some people occasionally can actually pull their gaze from their own reflection long enough to give two squirts of piss about someone else.

Very Well said Qweet.

I have a story that pissed me off!
in this city headbands for basketball arent exactly the most popular thing.
and this store started sellign them so i brought one.
anyway at the game i wore it and people sorta thought, why the fuck you wearing that, and this one guy really got on my nerves, but lucky me i was playin agaisnt his team and lit him up.
anyway, about 2 weeks later the people that were mockin my band started to wear em.

but i spose i sorta started a fashion here heehheehehheheehe
still it was very stupid what they were doin

i dont know if that ticks anyone else off, but man it really pissed me off!

I can relate to that. People used to mock me for wearing armbands, but I wore them because of their practical use, keeping my hands from getting too sweaty thus having better control of the ball. True, I always did wear them so that the Nike logo was visible...but if you have a t-shirt with a logo on it, you don't wear it inside out, do you?

Thanks for the support FTW, it means a lot to know people feel this too...

And while I do think that quote is total BS, I just want people to know that I am not from a religious background, my family doesn't go to church etc... and I was not aware of the fact that this was a Jesus quote. So anyone who is religious please don't take this personally, because then my speech would have been for nothing because I would have violated it with what I said. :?

and Laddas_KB8, that's great what you did, not talking the shit everyone was giving you and sticking to your guns. Just think about Steve Nash. Best Canadian basketball player, and an All Star point guard, but the guy has about the ugliest hair in the league. He says it helps him play better though, and who's going to disagree with that?

I wear headbands for 2 reasons, 1: it just feels comfortable 2: I wear contacts and if I get sweat in my eyes there is a chance they can fall out

I got these fancy new contacts where you put them in at nightm they reshape your cornea or w/e and I can see without them during the day. :D Very handy, especially for swimming.

I also wear a headband for 2 reasons
1. Sweat, I seem to shoot better and my face feels better when I wear one.
2. Looks.
