The Bobcats today announced that forward
Malik Allen has been released.
In four NBA seasons, Allen has played in 173 career games during stops in Miami and Charlotte and has averaged 7.0 ppg and 3.9 rpg in 20.9 mpg, while shooting .431 from the field and .813 from the free throw line.
Last season the 6-10, 250-pound forward appeared in a total of 36 games (14 with the Heat and 22 with the Bobcats) and averaged 5.4 ppg and 2.8 rpg in 14.4 mpg and shot .475 from the floor and .929 on free throws.
Bulls Waive Reiner

Today the Bulls announced that center
Jared Reiner has been released.
As a rookie, Reiner played in 19 games with the Bulls, averaging 1.1 ppg and 2.0 rpg in 6.9 mpg, while shooting .333 from the field and .250 from the free throw line.
Cavaliers Sign Bell

Danny Ferry announced today the team has signed free agent guard
Troy Bell to a one-year contract. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not released.
Bell, a sophomore, joins the Cavs after playing his rookie season in Memphis. In 2003-04 he only played 6 games, averaging 1.8 ppg, 0.7 rebounds and 0.7 assists.
"I’m excited about becoming a part of the Cavaliers and the Cleveland family," Bell said. "I know all of the Cavaliers fans are looking for a playoff berth, and I look forward to not only getting that, but reaching the ultimate goal and winning a championship."
Kings Release Mobley

The Kings today released
Cuttino Mobley, according to Kings President of Basketball Operations
Geoff Petrie. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
In his seventh NBA season, Mobley was averaging 17.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 37.0 minutes per game.
"Cuttino is a very tough competitor at both ends of the floor," stated Petrie. "But we both needed this move. He wants to tests his skills in other team I guess."
