How the hell do you kick the crap out of the Kings so easily and have a hard time with Washington?

The Kings were cursed and Washington played defence.

Johnson unhappy in Denver?
by Mike Nugget, Denver Post Sports Writer

Rumours around the Denver Nuggets have been telling Joe Johnson is unhappy with his role in the team. We caught up with Joe to hear his side of the story.

Mike Nugget: Joe, what's your situation right now? Are you happy in Denver?

Joe Johnson: Well, yes and no. I can tell you I'm happy living in Denver and I'm playing for maybe the best team in the league. I really feel we can win the championship this year. So, I'm satisfied with many things. But there are team goals and personal goals. The team is doing very well, but I feel as though I'm not making the best use of my talents here.

MN: How does the rest of the team feel about the situation?

JJ: I've talked to every one of them and they understand my situation. However, they are also telling me how important I am to the team. I'm happy that the guys feel I'm playing an important role, but I can be much more than a role player in a team.

MN: Will you be staying in Denver, and if so, for how long?

JJ: I've talked to the GM a couple of times and he assured me that the issue has been looked at, but they want to keep me for this season. I am on year one of my three-year-deal but I can't promise that I'll be seeing it out with the team. I'll be with the team until summer, and after that we'll see.

Nuggets eyeing NCAA sharpshooter

Denver Nuggets have reportedly been scouting Antoine Starks, a 20-year-old 6'3 shooting guard. Cousin of former NBA player John Starks, the shooter will be entering next year's draft and the Nuggets could draft him as a replacement for veteran Wesley Person.

Probable starters for 76ers at Nuggets:

Philadelphia (7-5)
C C. Webber
F J. Collins
F D. Nedved
G A. Iguodala
G A. Iverson

Denver (7-0)
C M. Camby
F K. Martin
F C. Anthony
G J. Johnson
G J. Williams

Cheers. JJ is rated 76 now, I've looked at Mobley but it would be the same case with him as it is with Joe: a very good scorer who can't use his scoring ability because I already have other great scorers.

Never gonna happen. I'm keeping Anthony no matter what, he just keeps getting better and better! LeBron is rated 90+ while Melo is at 86.

Why the hell are Philly starting Jason Collins at PF and Chris Webber at C!!?? I hate this! It would have been a decent game (and it was when Collins was not on) but it's making my dynasty very unrealistic. Nene had 32 points against Collins, Martin got injured. Dalembert and Marc Jackson came on and played good D, then Collins comes back in and f***s it all up again. CPU on-ball physical defence is 52 BTW. When the opponent has a crap player (Collins) on I WILL exploit it. I just hate players who are so bad!

NUGGETS COME BACK TO WIN AGAINST PHILADELPHIA

Philadelphia 75
Denver 90

Denver Nuggets extended their winning streak to eight after a hard-fought win over Philadelphia 76ers. The Nuggets suffered a blow early on when star player Kenyon Martin got injured. They seemed to lose concentration and let Philly take a nine-point lead. Denver came back in the second half with good play by Nene and Carmelo Anthony, as well as two inspiring three-pointers by Wesley Person. Nene led the Nuggets with 32 points, while Allen Iverson led the Sixers with 31. Chris Webber had 20 points playing at center, while rookie Demitri Nedved helped the Sixers with six assists. The Nuggets go up against Seattle next, who have surprised everyone with their 7-1 record so far.

Starters:
Denver (7-0 before game)
C M. Camby
F K. Martin
F C. Anthony
G J. Johnson
G J. Williams

Philadelphia (7-5 before game)
C C. Webber
F J. Collins
F D. Nedved
G A. Iguodala
G A. Iverson

Player of the game:
Nene DEN 32/7

Team leaders:
PHI: Iverson 31/3 ast, Webber 20/5/3 stl, McKie 15, Nedved 2/4/6 ast
DEN: Anthony 21/3/3 ast, Johnson 10/4

Box scores:
Sixers
Nuggets

Lol man! Good win though!

Cheers. I'll try and get over crap power forwards by making another update. :D

Martin out for 12 days with sprained foot

Kenyon Martin will miss the Nuggets' next two home games against Seattle and Chicago. He was injured early in the first quarter in the game against Philadelphia.

Probable starters for Sonics @ Nuggets

Seattle (8-1)
C R. Swift
F V. Radmanovic
F R. Lewis
G R. Allen
G A. Daniels

Denver (8-0)
C M. Camby
F Nene
F C. Anthony
G J. Johnson
G J. Williams

Seattle was one of the worst teams in the conference last season, but it has all changed this season and they have an amazing 8-1 record. They have taken everyone by surprise with an unchanged team and it will be an interesting game when they meet the Nuggets.

Mon Aug 29, 2005 5:24 am

Why is Jason Collins in Philly? Was he traded or something?

Ouch, Martin is out with a sprained foot. Go Nene!

Mon Aug 29, 2005 5:27 am

Nene can handle Radmanovic. Good luck!

Mon Aug 29, 2005 5:42 am

if ya wanna change the lineups switch the controller to their team switch it to the lineup you want it to be and when you play the game change the controller to your team again.

He became a free agent and signed for Philly. There haven't been many trades.

Thanks for the advice, but I wish the CPU wasn't so dumb.

Mon Aug 29, 2005 6:14 am

Wow, Philly's a mess. Nice win.

Mon Aug 29, 2005 6:50 am

Great blowout win against Philadelphia, wow Nene comes off the bench to score 32 points...good luck against Seattle

Mon Aug 29, 2005 11:19 pm

I played the Seattle game last night and won. I don't even want to post anything because it's all getting waaay out of hand as it's too easy and I can score over 30 with Nene in the low post.

Everyone else seems to be getting realistic stats and mine are just crazy. I thought about giving it all up but I figured I'm really into this dynasty thing and I want to keep it going now that I have time as well.

I'll be doing some experimenting with the sliders, like CPU on-ball physical defence at something like 100 and if I find some good settings I might even be back today with another game (Bulls).

Mon Aug 29, 2005 11:27 pm

Sounds great. Hope you fix things up. Good luck against the Bulls.

Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:41 am

Great good thing you didn't decide to end it....what level are you at Superstar???

Tue Aug 30, 2005 1:57 am

Yep. Superstar. I just put CPU on-ball physical defence up 100 and played the Bulls, I was leading 21-9 in the first quarter...

It's got nothing to do with basketball anymore, post up, spin move, layup or dunk. Two points for Denver, yay...

Every game I play feels the same. I do the same things, score the same way. With the post players I post up and score, with Anthony I get a pick, run, press 360 spin and boom, he's at the basket.

I'm wondering what to do... it's a month until Live 06 right...

Tue Aug 30, 2005 2:10 am

Yes, a bit over a month but you should continue this Dynasty. Keep working with the sliders.

Tue Aug 30, 2005 8:43 am

I tried again with CPU on-ball physical defence at 100 and pretty much everything harder. But I can still post up with Nene against Tyson Chandler sooo easy. And even if I wouldn't be able to post up, I could just wait until the guy in the post gets a good position, pass and finish.

I am quite good also. I could play with a bad team but it would mean ending the dynasty. I also realized I can grab almost every rebound off a missed free throw just by switching player and jumping.

Tue Aug 30, 2005 9:06 am

why dont you just trade two or three of your good players, for a superstar or draft picks. or somehow get a worse starting lineup.

Tue Aug 30, 2005 9:52 am

I'm tired and I'm mad. I tried default sliders and boom! There it was. All of a sudden it wasn't post-up-and-score anymore.

I've been playing with the so-called "realistic sliders" I got with the 1.15 rosters. Now I know someone's gonna come in and say "hey, it's just our view of realistic!"
You don't need to. I'm just disappointed that it seems that I should have used the default sliders.

Maybe I'll use the default rosters too and start a new dynasty. The way it seems there could be a lot more basketball in Live 05 than I thought. Now I know how everyone else wasn't able to score 50 points with their power forwards...

I liked the dynasty until I realized it's probably been completely screwed up by someone's idea of realistic stats. I really, really wouldn't want to retire this but I'm really not having much fun with it anymore.

Tue Aug 30, 2005 10:04 am

There were several things, like drop step is 0 in default and 30 in the realistic ones. All I had to do was post up, and if there was a good defender my player would just take a step back and then by pressing layup I got a basket.

Then the whole block thing, I tried posting up and the CPU would actually disrupt me instead of standing like a damn statue, like it did before.
