Darko's Rating

37? Come on? How can you downgrade a player that you have seen little of? And when he played (last 2 games of the season) he had career highs each game. Put up 16 points starting against the Hawks (it was the Hawks, but he still did it). He's not that bad. It makes it impossible for me to play with Detroit and put him in. Especially if I have to edit his ass every time I play.

Not much, but he averaged more points the more minutes he played. 37 is a low as hell considering how long it'd take him to get a decent rating starting him. And he'd also suck ass when you sim with him starting

Simulated stats are based on player ratings. However, I can review his ratings especially given his performance in those two games he started late last season.

Rating bench players are difficult . you can't really blame Andrew. I guess he just tried to be really objective by basing it strictly on stats. However, i do think that bench players should be rated differently from the starters.

I've noticed that what EA does is give Rookies
and bench players very low Endurance, Hardiness and Fatigue Ratings. This pulls down the overall ratings of the players but they're not necessarily crap. The other attributes are still decent. Thus, they can still be effective for short periods of time. Just like in real life.

If you really want to be objective, you can base bench players' the stats on a 40 minute basis. Then just lower them if they end up having higher overall ratings than the player starting before them.

this is what i did for PBA Live and it worked out pretty well.

btw, on the simulated stats,
Even if a player has high offensive ratings, he still won't be able to average a lot of points if he's not a starter. So giving darko higher ratings won't necessarily make him score more when you simulate.

Absolutely. Some reserves are probably better players than those starting ahead of them but serve as the team's sixth man because of the firepower they can provide off the bench. As far as fatigue's concerned, it's usually better to give the subs lower ratings so the substitution patterns are more realistic, though that's not always the case.

while 36 maybe be slightly low for darko he is not even a 6th man and hardly plays due to the fact that he has just not developed into a viable option for larry brown.
Effort is futile
