New Jersey Nets (12-5) @ New Orleans Hornets (7-9)
[Sim]
The Hornets had the lead for most of the game, but a clutch 4th quarter lifted the Nets to a victory.
January 22, 2005:
Jason Collins's broken finger is now completely healed. His play should return to normal.
New Jersey Nets (13-5) @ Orlando Magic (4-12)
First Half:
Almost from the start of the game, the Nets were runnign and gunning, back like in te glory days of their championship run. Jason Kidd was getting steal after steal, which lead to points for the guard/forward combo of VC and RJ. It seemed impossible that the Magic could stop the scoring. But when the Nets starters came out, so did the enthusiasm. They let the Magic creep back into the game, and wit one quarter finished, they were only up by 2. But Jason Kidd was on a very good pace, with 4 assists already. In the second, the Nets regained their fire, comign out and scoring in bunches. Richard Jefferson was having a great game, with 14 half way into the second. The Net bench continued to let them down, though, giving up many of the points that the starters had gotten. But at the half it was 54-44 in favor of the Nets. Richard Jefferson had 16 points, Uncle Cliffy had 7 boards and JKidd had 6 assists.
The key players at the half were Jason Kidd, with 7 points, 3 reounds, 6 assists, and 7 steals, looking good for a triple-double, and Jameer Nelson, with 13 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

Second Half:
Kidd was still on fire. He had 11 points, 9 assists and 8 steals before the ed of he third quarter. It should also be mentioned that he had 6 rebounds. A triple double night for him? Maybe even a quadruple double? We shall see. Vince Carter got hot, too, many thanks to the passing of Kidd. The score was 90-67 in favor of the Nets after 3. Jason Kidd needed 1 more steal and 3 more rebounds for a quadruple double. With 5:56 left in the game, Jason Kidd got his triple double. All he needed was 3 more rebounds for the quadruple-double. Kidd got two rebounds late, and needed one more with 2 minutes to go. And then he got it. Off a missed tip in off of a three, Jason Kidd grabbed the ball, and got a quadruple double. Congratulations JKidd! The game ended in a favorable fashion for the Nets, wit the final score being 116-107. Vince Carter had 28 points, Jason Kidd and Cliff had 10 boards and Kidd had 14 assists.
