New Jersey Nets (9-4) @ Boston Celtics (5-3)

6 Game Win Streak Broken!

Image

More to come...

-JKidd

EDIT~

Golden State Warriors (3-4) @ New Jersey Nets (9-5)

Coming into the 4th quarter, the score was all tied up, 63 all. The Warriors and Nets went back and forth, but then, thanks to a strong performance by Devin Brown and Vinsnity, the Nets took the lead 92-84. The Warriors came back, and got the lead to shrink to 2 pints. But then Jason Kidd stripped the ball and was fouled, to put the game almost out of reach. After a RJ dunk, it was all over but the crying for the Warriors.

The player of the game was Jason Kidd, with 27 points, 3 rebounds, 5 steals and 10 assists.

Jason Kidd lead the Nets in points and assists, and Jefferson grabbed 8 rebounds.

Miami Heat (7-2) @ New Jersey Nets (10-5)

First Half:

The game started off with the Nets really cold, and the Heat, well, hot! But then some key 3's by VC got the Nets back on track. Dwayne Wade also got 2 fouls early on, maybe alluding to foul trouble for him? At the end of the first quarter, the Nets had a sizeable 19 point lead, 40-21. VC already had 15 points, and Telfair had 4 assists and rebounds leading the team. Starting the second, the Nets were cold, missing their first 8 shots. But they got back on track, leading at the half, by 11, 64-53.

The Key Players At The Half were Shaq (10 pts., 7 rebs., 2 assts., 3 blks.) and Jason Kidd (8 pts., 2 rebs., 5 assts., 6 stls.).

Apparently, Jason is Cliff's boy, so there is some tension between the two. It culminates with Robinson yelling "Get outta' my house!"

Second Half:

Early in the second, Dwayne Wade, Shaq's personal hitman went out and injured Cliff Robinson. Jason Collins came in to replace him. What a juicy story! But then Krstic, homeslices with Robinson, promptly rejects Shaq on his attemp at Collins. But then Shaq got mad at Krstic! While all this drama was going on, the Heat slippedbac into it with Damon Jones sinking a 15-footer to tie it at 64. But the Nets got it back, thanks to some clutch shooting by Jason Kidd, who hit 3 threes in a row to get a good lead. Telfair came in and proved a good backup, getting 8 assists after the 3rd. In the 4th, VC took over the 3 poitn load, gettng a few in a row. Jason Kidd kept on doing well, getting some more points as well as assists. The Vince Took over. He got so many points, and seemed to be unstoppable. Even Wade, who is a pretty good defender couldn't stop Vinsanity. He ended up with 46 points, and the Nets the win, 130-122. Carter, of course lead the team with 46 points, Cliffy, coming back from the injury had 9 boards and JKidd dished off 10. Jason Kidd was also 1 steal away from a triple double.

Jason Kidd was the Player of the Game with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 9 steals and 10 assists. Sorry for not having a pic, but I thought Air Brooklyn was going to be te POG.

San Antonio Spuer @ New Jersey Nets

First Half:

Brent Barry was on fire to start the game, getting 6 points right off the bat. But one ting that the Spurs didn't have was Vince Carter. He scored some points for the Nets, getting them back on track and perhaps forshadowing to a big game. But then, after Zoran Planicic, the former Net came in, Jason Collins got injured by Rasho Nesterovic. Devin Brown, in the trade for Planicic, was hving a good game. At the end of the first, the Nets lead by 3, with a score of 39-36. In the second, the game stayed pretty much even. Duncan was overpowering Krstic, and has gotten a fair amount of points. Kidd nailed a few three's (thanks to my poor use of Off-ball) and at the half, the Nets lead by 7, 72-65.
VC had 19 points, Nenad had 8 rebounds and JKidd and Telfair had 3 assists a piece.

The key players at the half were Jason Kidd (16 pts., 3 rebs., 3 assts., 3 stls.) and Tim Duncan (12 pts., 6 rebs., 1 asst., 1 stl., 2 blks.)

First Half Photos:

Second Half:

Early in the 3rd quarter, Richard Jefferson got attacked by Glenn Robinson. The third quarter was pretty quiet aside from that, with Devin Brown doing some more damage against his former team and Telfair continually crossing up fellow rookie Beno Udrith. Jason Kidd sank a buzzer-beaing 3 to end the quarter. In the fourth, it was very tense. The lead kept changin, and for most of the time, the Nets were up by 3 or 2. Jasn Kidd and Vine Carter steppd it up for the Nets, each getting many baskets. But TonyParkr was on fire the entire game for the Spurs. He kept on drainign shot after shot, even with Kidd in his face. With 2 and a half minutes left, Richard Jefferson made a key block on Tim Duncan, and got the offensive rebound and a layup on the fast break. Brent Barry missed an open three with 27 seconds left, and it seemed that the Spurs had lost the game. And with some Jason Kidd and Vince Carter free throws, it was. The final score was Nets 143, Spurs 133. Vinsanity had 43 points, Krstic had 11 boards and Kidd had 7 assists. Only 4 Nets weren't in double figures.

The player of the game was Vince Carter with 43 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals and 1 assist.

Tony Parker had an outstanding game with 43 points.

Breaking News!

Jason Collins has sustained a broken finger during last night's game against the San Antonio Spurs. This will not cause him to miss any games, but his performance will be hampered. Richard Jefferson, who also had to leave that game for a period of time, was checked out and is fine.

New Jersey Nets (12-5) @ New Orleans Hornets (7-9)
[Sim]

The Hornets had the lead for most of the game, but a clutch 4th quarter lifted the Nets to a victory.

Image

January 22, 2005:

Jason Collins's broken finger is now completely healed. His play should return to normal.

New Jersey Nets (13-5) @ Orlando Magic (4-12)

First Half:

Almost from the start of the game, the Nets were runnign and gunning, back like in te glory days of their championship run. Jason Kidd was getting steal after steal, which lead to points for the guard/forward combo of VC and RJ. It seemed impossible that the Magic could stop the scoring. But when the Nets starters came out, so did the enthusiasm. They let the Magic creep back into the game, and wit one quarter finished, they were only up by 2. But Jason Kidd was on a very good pace, with 4 assists already. In the second, the Nets regained their fire, comign out and scoring in bunches. Richard Jefferson was having a great game, with 14 half way into the second. The Net bench continued to let them down, though, giving up many of the points that the starters had gotten. But at the half it was 54-44 in favor of the Nets. Richard Jefferson had 16 points, Uncle Cliffy had 7 boards and JKidd had 6 assists.

The key players at the half were Jason Kidd, with 7 points, 3 reounds, 6 assists, and 7 steals, looking good for a triple-double, and Jameer Nelson, with 13 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.

First Half Photos:

Second Half:

Kidd was still on fire. He had 11 points, 9 assists and 8 steals before the ed of he third quarter. It should also be mentioned that he had 6 rebounds. A triple double night for him? Maybe even a quadruple double? We shall see. Vince Carter got hot, too, many thanks to the passing of Kidd. The score was 90-67 in favor of the Nets after 3. Jason Kidd needed 1 more steal and 3 more rebounds for a quadruple double. With 5:56 left in the game, Jason Kidd got his triple double. All he needed was 3 more rebounds for the quadruple-double. Kidd got two rebounds late, and needed one more with 2 minutes to go. And then he got it. Off a missed tip in off of a three, Jason Kidd grabbed the ball, and got a quadruple double. Congratulations JKidd! The game ended in a favorable fashion for the Nets, wit the final score being 116-107. Vince Carter had 28 points, Jason Kidd and Cliff had 10 boards and Kidd had 14 assists.

Second Half Photos:

Thanks guys. Yeah, that's my show stopper. It's harder with VC than some otherguys I've done it with. It's harder to do in the actual competition than in prectice, bcause you need to stand right inside of the half-court circle.

And, another devastating sim loss to the... Hawks?

Cheers!

Topic titles like your current one will get your more comments. A quadruple-double is very special, although I find 12 steals a bit unrealistic.

And the change of 3FG %, was it only because you traded for Korver or did the other dudes also shoot better? I've had this kind of change too and not with a simple reason such as your trade (if that's your reason of course).

Well, I did a lot of training, getting JKidd to 75 three pointers and Vince got better. Also I got better timing, since this dynasty was my first time playing in superstar. So the timign on 3's is different. So I guess I finally got my touch.

Also, thanks for the comments, and I'll try to keep that topic title thing in mind... ;)

Brekaing News!

Earlier today, the Nets announced that they had traded SG Devin Brown and PG Jaques Vaughn for SG J.R. Smith of the New Orleans Hornets. This is a very good trade for New Jersey, because they got younger and let up sme cap space. J.R. is an explosive dunker, and will add some fire to this tea off the bench. The only downside of this is that the Nets are now short-handed, with only 11 men on the roster. Look for them to try to pick up a free agent.

Also: Manu is out for some amount of time.

-JKidd

EDIT~J.R. has changed his number to 1 since 23 is retired for the Nets.

New Jersey Nets (14-6) @ Chicago Bulls (4-14)

[Note: New controller, so it might be a little bad and sloppy.]

First Half:

A debacle. My new controller is really weird, and I'm not used to it. I have played with the keyboard before, and this is a lot different. The score was 29-20 with a minute to go in the first, which isn't actually that bad, but I've been playing bad. It was 31-25 at the end of the first. Half way through the second, it was 46 to 32 Bulls. With 3:38 left in the half, Chris Duhon went down with a back injury on a Telfair foul. We are playing like crap. At the half, we're losing by 20, 68-48.

VC with 12 points, 2 rebounds, one block and a steal and Curry with 22 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks were the key players.

First Half Photos:

Image
Smith shows up in NJ wit his first points.

Image
Carter rejects Ben Gordon.

Image
J.R. finished off a sweet dunk. (Ouch, is that Gordon up his ass?)

Second Half:

The Nets kept in the game, not taking anything out of the lead, but not lettign it slip away. But through three quarters, the Nets were being slaughtered, 91-63. The nets got a little more scoring, thanks to Jasn Kidd's sharp-shooter ability, but were still out of it by about 25 points the entire game. An overall pathetic performance by me. The final score was 121-90 in favor of the Bulls.

The player of the game was Eddy Curry with 24 points, 13 rebounds, 4 blocks, 3 steals and 2 assists.

J.R. Smith of the Nets played well in their losing effort, with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Korver also had a nice game with 14 points. Kidd lead the team with 20 points, Krstic had 8 rebounds and Telfair dished off 4.

Second Half Photos:

A nice play by Krstic.

Yeah. That was partly due to me missing the shoot button and hitting the layup button. :? But VC was doing good, but J.R. Smith played most of the game after the first quarter. I don't know why. But he did well, so that's good. Always good to have your rooks do some nice stuff. But he should be a rookie starter in the Rookie Challenge.

And thanks for the comment! (Y) ;)
