There have been many epic matches. I can't remember the last Grand Slam with so many tightly played matches. Hewitt has been in 3 or 4 already. Safin surprised all with his win over the seemingly unbeatable Roger Federer. It's the same in the women's draw as well. Alicia Molik got up over Venus in a tough one, then pushed Davenport to the limit. Venus got over Sharparova in another top game.
I also can't remember the last time the No. 1 to 4 seeds advance through to the semis.
Whilst the Aussie Open will never have the prestige and status of Wimbledon (and rightly so), it can hopefully improve on its rating as the 4th best tennis event of the year. Who likes the French Open anyway? As you can tell I'm not a fan of clay. Save the clay for art class.
On a side note, I now have a better idea of what Sharparova would sound like in the sack
