Is it just me or....

Has this been the best Australian Open you've ever seen? As I watch Hewitt and Roddick fight it out in the semis, I must say I have been enjoying the tennis more so than usual.

There have been many epic matches. I can't remember the last Grand Slam with so many tightly played matches. Hewitt has been in 3 or 4 already. Safin surprised all with his win over the seemingly unbeatable Roger Federer. It's the same in the women's draw as well. Alicia Molik got up over Venus in a tough one, then pushed Davenport to the limit. Venus got over Sharparova in another top game.

I also can't remember the last time the No. 1 to 4 seeds advance through to the semis.

Whilst the Aussie Open will never have the prestige and status of Wimbledon (and rightly so), it can hopefully improve on its rating as the 4th best tennis event of the year. Who likes the French Open anyway? As you can tell I'm not a fan of clay. Save the clay for art class.

On a side note, I now have a better idea of what Sharparova would sound like in the sack

I've been watching tennis regularly for about 7 years, and the Australian Open has been fantastic (Y). Watching Lleyton play is like having a heart attack mixed with a birthday party, and as far as the 1-4 seeds goes that hasn't happened in a bloody long time... I really thought Federer would steamroll everyone, but Safin is amazing when he's not deranged. He used to constantly beat Lleyton too when he was sane, so it'll be an interesting final.

Womens tennis blows big time though, seriously they need to look at improving it somehow... so many double faults and one hit rally's, they're better than that but it just doesn't happen for them.

The French Open is a joke. They may aswell put in Wheelchair Tennis, it's the same thing basically... there's guys who hang around outside the top 50, the French Open comes along and suddenly they're number 3 in the World just because they're better at sliding on clay then most. Next tournament, back to number 59 or so. Juan Carlos Fererra is one of the worst at this.

I like alot of sports lol, from tennis, to netball, to darts. Netball is quite good when you get used to it and stop being homophobic about the whole thing. I like soccer too, if I took one of those "How Gay Are You?" tests online I imagine that alone would boost my percentage a bit.

There's a story behind that lol...

My school was about 100m's from the local basketball stadium, where the local team played. So basically the basketball team I played for outside of school, everyone went to that school aswell... so the opportunity came up for a men's netball team at school, and our basketball team ended up playing netball for a while... it was pretty unconventional, like outside shots, too much blocking etc but it's actually a difficult sport to play when you try to do it properly. But yeah, I don't watch it unless Australia's playing. I'll watch any sport involving people representing Australia.

Tennis is good when you got good players in a tight game (like those Agassi vs Sampras games)....Hewitt pisses me off though....Safin is my last chance

womens tennis does suck....it's always the butch chicks that win too
