Injuries, Play styles, Outside shooting

I wonder if in-game injuries will be in career mode this year. I suggested it before the last version but it wasn't in there. It's ridiculous that something like that should be left out. Also would like to know if teams play their real-life styles or all teams play exactly the same. Also, will there be a better mix of inside and outside scoring? The goal of every team about 90% of the time was to get the shot under the basket. It resulted in me not even bothering to play outside defense since it wasn't needed most of the time. Another thing, the number of fouls should be increased closer to a real-life number.

I thought I heard that injuries won't be in "at launch", which means it might be something they can patch it or activate. I remember rim stuffs weren't in NBA Live 10 until Patch 1, so you never know. They are capable of adding a lot more stuff post-launch these days, as the roster editing suite demonstrated last year.

A more realistic style of play and shot distribution is definitely important. I'm hoping to see that, too.

One would think if injuries can be added through a patch, it wouldn't be that difficult to add to the game to begin with. It is a pretty important issue with me. When I play a career and none of my teammates are ever injured while opposing teams are missing players, just feels like cheating.

Possibly, but the same could be said of rim stuffs in NBA Live 10. Perhaps it's a matter of thoroughly testing it first, and having a lot of other things to do within the span of one development cycle. I can only speculate and refer to a previous example of enabling something after launch here.

In any event, I agree that in-game injuries need to return. They're vital for The One and Franchise alike.

Missing dunks, i.e. getting rejected/stuffed by the rim rather than a defender. Out of the box there weren't any missed dunks in NBA Live 10, but they activated them in the first patch. It's possible they wanted to test them and tweak the frequency first; it's been a long time, so I don't recall if there was any further explanation as to why they weren't enabled at launch, but that would be my guess.

I hope they do something. I'll buy the game when I see improvements in the things I mentioned. I am NOT spending a penny on 2k so I'll be anxiously waiting for Live.
