Made some progress

HeatLogo extracted from 0B at 0x641AD0A5 with size 0x3908
File was zlib in 0B
File is Compresed with DXT5 BlockCompression

Near finishing it.. but taking a 2-3 days brake since other things are waiting...

Logo is Compressed so it looks like Image
But when you open it with paint.net and go file>saveas>dds>R5G6B5 you will see that its 256x256 [small team logo for scoreboard/menu table]

Thanks for sharing.

Let's say we compress a standard png image to dds (with a DXT5 Comp lib), can it be readable if it's size doesn't match with replaced dds's (here HeatLogo) ?

not tested.. i think it wont work just like that.. so a tool should update size..

@nesa24 could you post some textures of cyberfaces from 2k15 :) we cyberface modders just want to see it !!!

Breakdown..
ROSTER
If you start game with only 0A and 0B in game folder [ move others somewhere] menus will work,music and team logos will be there and you can save ROSTER so roster is there

Team
if you remove 0C from folder game will work and you will save 11GB but you wont have Euroleague and NBA Legends [ old teams ]

0L - if you remove that file from game folder game will work but no players-fans-items for that team will render
Example if you remove 0L and select Lakers [ you ] vs Heat [ pc ] but no player will be shown so ball will just move around and players of Heat will play but they will be 100% ghosts

Editing
0A is file handler. If you edit any game file you will have to update 0A value for it or it wont load at all

IFF's
Yes game still uses IFF but they are in those archives and need extraction.. Working on that issue

Audio
As it seems its OGG audio format [ Once unpacked will confirm ]

Video
Like past years video is in VC-1 format [ Once unpacked will confirm ]

No tool yet..
I THINK THE 1K AND 1L ARE THE CYBERFACES AND JERSEYS , OC,1K,1L ARE THE LARGEST FILES IN NBA 2K15 !

The boot screen always skips for me, so this was the worst thing to use. :lol:

Nice, just checked your upload, its a png image if i am right. Did you have any luck with dds textures?

aha, I tried the latest opengl but its not working, i guess the game uses the latest directx sdk?

yeah should be something like this. I played around with the directx sdk tools trying to convert some textures using the texconv tools, and what i got was those "garbage" colors what we get until now. The problem is that even the dxtex tool in the sdk can't read those textures, so i still don't have any way to decompress them to a proper format. If you have any news on that please do post it :D

DEMO of changing texture for NBA 2K15

1st working textures [PNG and DDS]

Copy to game folder

For BOOT SCREEN:
Run exe and click KALINA
Run game to see change (note that for a second, there is KD, but it changes)

For DORNA:
Run exe and click CAT
Run game and go to 2KU> Freestyle> KINGS > start training and wait in middle
Dornas will rotate and one of them will be gray background with my avatar in middle

To restore, run it again and click KD or Statefarm

Wonderful! Have you tried any cyberfaces or jerseys yet? Do you think it's possible to additional slots into the archive for additional iff's or is the game looking for a specific size of those archives?
