I bet Drex is celebrating right now by spreading butter all over his body and then dipping himself in a tub full of popcorn and eating it.

Nobody expected Spain to suck this much. What a disappointment.

He won that award in 2010 and I figured that Spain were actually going to show up. Oh well.

Spain losing means Australia are out as well. Results have been as expected, but the performances are really promising for this young team. Maybe we can get a better result against that out of form Spain team.

Meanwhile Cameroon imploded. They're gone too.

Why do I have the feeling that Holland would rather be second place in their group just to avoid being home cooked by Brazil in the knockout round. That second yellow card by Van Persie and subsequent 1 match suspension is a perfect excuse for a Dutch loss against Chile. VAN GAAL PLANNED THIS!

Wayne Rooney being put in his preferred playing position finally paying off with his very first World Cup goal. :o
Possession advantage finally results in something for England. Tie at 1-1

Suarez pwning England with his 2nd goal of the game! 2-1 with 6 minutes left.
Leighton Baines is going to be the most hated player in England after this for having his defensive area wide open for Suarez, not Gerrard.

38% possession of Uruguay to England's 62% and England still lost.

lol Suarez is really a cry baby, almost cried in the postgame if the interview kept going.

Brilliant headed assist by Gerrard

Was weird seeing Liverpool players on opposite teams. 8 in total played in that game. But it was nice that Suarez went to hug Gerrard before celebrating with his team after the match.

The funniest part of the result was that Roy Hodgson said recently that Suarez wasn't world class. Hahaha  Silly old man

This celebration is good but nothing beats a good old African Team World Cup Celebratory Dance though. Hope we see one in the WC.

Clearly we were wrong about Honduras. Costa Rica is where it's at. (Y)

Spain and England are out. I love the overreaction after 'big' teams get eliminated. The media suddenly decides that the coach and half the team should retire and the tactics need overhauling completely.

I dunno, if Jurgen the Nazi can leave Donovan off the roster, I don't see why Rooney even played :?

I'd be more critical of the fact that Hodgson took Lampard to Brazil or that he has played Welbeck ahead of Lallana or Barkley.

Rooney is their star player. Whether he plays well or not is down to him. Hodsgon couldn't leave a guy earning 300k a week out of his team for the world cup. Imagine the abuse their fans (and even more so the media) would give him if Rooney hadn't played and they still lost both games.

I'd blame England's failure on the English FA for hiring Hodgson in the first place. He is rubbish.

Costa Rica are top of a group that contains 3 teams ranked in the top 10, who have won 9 world cups between them. Seems they are gunning to be the fairytale story of this tournament. :applaud:

Argentina looked bad against Iran, lucky for them that Messi goal in injury time saved their ass.
Though it's good to see Messi not choking in a World Cup anymore.
