I find this whole project fascinating. I have never owned a gaming pc, but I am building a monster one primarily for this mod. I an a huge college hoops fan and can't play 2k8 anymore because it's so dated. I have never molded before, but can learn quick and really want to make cyberfaces, arenas etc. I won't have my pc built for 2 weeks, however I will then start making cyber faces starting with Arizona.
Is Arizona in the included demo and if so do you have any cyber faces yet?
Also, will this be set up to use in a season mode, or just quick game?
Once again, you guys are doing great work, and I can't wait to get started, as this is awesome. (I never knew this was possible) being a life long console gamer.
Talk to you soon
bigh0rt wrote:droc81yo, AirAaron32 is spot on. And I'm not actively trying to get it to work with Association Mode, but if it does, that's great.
Note, anyone who is good at working with the gamedata.iff file, please let me know. I have an NCAA referee uniform .dds file (courtesy of Bassman) that I'm hoping is still the correct template, and I need it imported into the file to see if we can't get rid of those NBA referee uniforms. If there are any other possible changes to be made within that file (I believe the file I currently have has the nicer white net with the knots in it that someone made), let me know. We can release it as an Optional Overwrite file.![]()
droc81yo wrote:I want to start editing cyber faces (i.e. making them look like their real life counter parts). First I have a couple of questions since I am a noob and never done any of this before. I have seen a couple tutorials using blender and that part of the process looks like I can handle it with some practice. I have the blender program installed on my laptop (waiting on my gaming pc to play nba 2k14)
I downloaded the 7 zip file.
What program do I need to view the files (.iff files right?) To put into blender to edit?
Secondly, how do I reference what player I am editing? ( As I understand you make a custom ID that is not utilized by a player on the default game)
I apologize if my questions seem mundane, however I really want to help in this and think I can contribute immensely once I figure out what the heck I'm doing.

droc81yo wrote:Thanks bighOrt I appreciate it. Is RED MC the program that only certain people can have permission to ( like 2k only gives out so many licenses?)
Thanks for the info, Im going to look for the 3Dm tool and the tutorial ( I think I saw it before browsing these forums)
REDMC costs money, you can pay with PayPal and a variety of other options. It is a roster editor, but in the future it should be able to edit IFF files as welldroc81yo wrote:Thanks bighOrt I appreciate it.
