How about removing the red/green arrows from the player ratings?

What makes this mod “sim”? Here are a few of the features that set this project apart from all others:

- Every art file (jerseys, arenas, cyberfaces, accessories, courts, dornas (advertisement at half court), etc is realistic and none will crash game play
- There is no missing art file in the entire project

Every player in every roster has:
- Accurate statistical ratings and tendencies to work with 2k's simulation engine while still providing realistic game play
- Realistic ratings and tendencies that affect game play but not the simulation engine ie dribbling, athletic ratings, post tendencies, etc.
- Realistic physical attributes that decrease after major injuries or as the player gets older
- Accurate play types
- Accurate contracts

- Accurately updated Coaching profiles and playbooks

- Draft classes that have realistic player information for every player

- A few slider sets designed to be a base for realistic game play

Help menu > Tutorials there is a pdf is explanations of all values. Maddog outdoes himself year after year
Defines shoe model, assigned to the player. Each model is stored in 2 separate files (they can be located in the main game folder or in the "shoes" folder, which neighbours the "Saves" folder of the game) and has a unique 32-digit hex-code, identifying it. These codes are contained in shoe file names (the main file of each shoe model has a code, which is less by 1, than the secondary file's one). To assign a shoes model, you need to get the code, contained in the main file's name, and input it consecutively digit-by-digit into this and the 3 next fields, so each field contains exactly 8 digits. NOTE: the shoe brand MUST be appropriate to the model to get a positive result.
Opinions are my own.

Thanks Jao, Can we still add custom colors to the shoes of each player or is that feature missing this year? Thanks in advance!

TEAMID values, all it does is affect background logos outside of Blacktop mode
IF this was possible, it would have been figured out already.

Quintero wrote:Is it possible to copy players from NBA2K13 roster file?

not directly, but you can convert players over column by column, I'll release a spreadsheet that will help with that.

Ciao Jao, you mean we have to convert each player one by one? Still faster than doing it manually at least :)
While Draft classes are not manageable via reditor at the moment, correct? I'd like to recover mine (with Albys) from 2k13.

@ vlad:

I've been taking a look at the tool and I've seen that this year, in the players tab we can no longer select custom shoe colors as we could in previous years, just the brand and the shoe model (which occupies 4 tabs). Is this correct? was this feature removed for this year's game?

It's quite messy because now in the uniforms tab we can select the base and trim colors of the shoes twice... :wall:

So still no off autosave

No, since it is located outside the roster part. It is the thing to check in future, though.

hmm i feel like some rookie, but i dont understand, should i purchase modder interfaces in general tab if i already got in from 2k13?

No, Modder's Interfaces need to be purchased only once, then the license works for every supported file and platform.

I'm impressed by the improvements, Vlad. It's been great every year, but this is the most professional job you have done so far.

Bravo!!

Thanks! :) There are some more aces to come out from my lucky jacket sleeve.

is .cmg editing available in this release

Yes. Additional File Types license is required to open them.

Just a question, will you be adding an option to control the shoe colors (GShsUCusC) like in the previous versions? Coz I can't find it in the players tab.

Unfortunately, no. They have changed the shoes mechanics, so the colors are now controlled by shoe model files, not by roster.

s there a height option in the players tab? I can't find it.

Yep... it is one of the very first columns, i guess.

Also, if you want to buy one key, and then buy something else later, is this an option?

Sure, just select the licenses, you want. You can buy any additional ones whenever you want later.

Is it possible to add jersey slots?

Yes, you need Full Roster Control - Stage 1 license. Then it will be possible for you to clone, delete and move items around files.

Thanks Jao, Can we still add custom colors to the shoes of each player or is that feature missing this year? Thanks in advance!

Only if you create a separate shoe model for each player with the in-game shoe editor. Not possible otherwise since they have completely changed the way shoes work.

Hey Vlad although your programs works but during installation I got a invalid 32 error warning

That's not a major one. Just ignore. It is about installing some advanced fonts.

Hi, i wanna make all players free agent, but how to do it faster then on each player edit isFa value to 1?

You can purchase Modder's Interfaces license, open Global Editor, select IsFA and make it set 1 to every player in that column. Or copy-paste the whole column into Excel and do some machinations there.
Anyway, the maximum total number of free agents per file is 1000, and this is the limit you can't bypass unfortunately.

While Draft classes are not manageable via reditor at the moment, correct?

Correct. This is something, that will be implemented in the visible future.

i cant find roles, we must set this manually or i missed something?

You mean Contract Roles? They should be there. Somewhere around Contract Salaries. CRole or something like that is the column name.

I've been taking a look at the tool and I've seen that this year, in the players tab we can no longer select custom shoe colors as we could in previous years, just the brand and the shoe model (which occupies 4 tabs). Is this correct? was this feature removed for this year's game?

Yes, this is correct. I've made some explanations somewhere above in this post. :D

I hope, i've answered all your major questions.
Thank you for your kind words and your support, guys! I'm really happy, there is such a nice basketball community out here.

An updated Demo version and a small hot-fix for a couple of minor issues, which have been discovered recently, will be released day-to-day.

Thanks for the answer vlad,

It's a letdown for me that we can no longer add custom colors to shoes but it is what it is. Since we have to do it creating individual shoes is there some way that we can surpass the limit of 50 created shoes?(it was in 360 and I guess it's on PC too). Thanks!

Hi, please help.

I have RED Modding Center v. 2.0 and NBA 2K14 Steam version. I cannot seem to open or find any sort of supported file with REDMC.

Nothing in the following folders:

C:\Users\mypc\AppData\Roaming\2K Sports\NBA 2K14
And
D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\NBA2K14

I am trying to edit player ages which would normally be found in the roster file.
