NBA 2K12 Wishlist (Official Thread)

My wish is Ronnie and the 2K Team should read all of the wishlist in this topic.

Hmm, better quality of screen shots and videos.

- do something with association, refresh it , add some features to it
- every player has to have his own cyberface and sigshot
-ACCESSORIES !!!fix it. add possibility to adjust lenght of sleeves, bands etc. add possibility to put accesories anywhere

This is that came to my head at the moment:

-More accurate passes (eg. I point to pass forward but the pass go to the left --')
-Choose type of pass (bounce, chest, over the head, etc.)
-Technical Fouls
-Interviews with players and/or coaches during periods breaks
-Have players jumping and acting crazy when they win a game by a buzzer beat shot
-(MP) More skill points
-(MP) Increase A LOT team mate grade when you hit 5+ 3pointers in a row
-(MP) Credits/Skill points/Bonus when you're 'Player Of The Game'
-(MP) Vary the plays called (In some games my team just uses 3-4 plays/a play is called 3 consecutive times)
-(MP) On EVERY possession a play is called, which isn't realistic
-(MP) 1ST PERSON CAMERA for MY PLAYER !!

etc...

- Make the crowd go up when a player puts a 3-pointer or a buzzer beater. Example: Look at the crowd after the 3-pointer from Ray Allen -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOUuGKJPlqE .
- More shoes, acessories (do the same thing like you do for shoes, add adidas, nike, etc).
- MP -> Add more things like the salary to let's us use for buying something like shoes, acessories, etc.
- MP -> Let us participate on those mini games on the All Star Weekend like SLAM DUNK Contest.
- More realistic moves for every player. Not every player play the same thing.
- MP -> Put all the nations there. I'm from Portugal and it's not on the game just because there isn't any NBA player portuguese (that's unfair :c).
- MP -> Put more records from NBA to break and not just Points, assists, etc.
- MP -> What about shot out before every game? I think that would be more realistic and if someone doesn't want it should be able to play just the game.
- I would like to see better Pre game intros like in NBA games. Like intro each player from the starting lineup.
- Just the coaches go shake each other at the end of the game? c'mon

The other things that I want has already being said on this topic.

They should bring back trade block. Although I like trade finder, trade block is more realistic representation.

I wish they would call my last name Javier.

They should put the player interest bar to trading like in Live 2005 and 2006.

Hey Guys I'll be dividing this post into two sections What to Bring Back and What to Add.

WHAT TO BRING BACK:

a)Bring back alternate A layout

b)Bring back cut scenes which were present in 2k10 detailing about a player who has played well in the past 3 or 5 mins. In 2k10 whenever I used to make plays or grab boards alot of times there used to be a cut scene detailing about me that this player has his hands all over the gym and etc etc. Bring that back.

c)Bring back keys to the game before the start of every game.

d)2k12 should be contain both aspects of 2k10 and 2k11.

e) Please fix my player mode, game sliders play calling new drills.

WHAT TO ADD

a) Create a Jumper section

b) Create a Play section

c) Create a Coach section

d) In 2k11 there was a pinch of a RPG aspect with the interviews. I liked it alot and it got me thinking what if this can CONTINUE. i believe that MY PLAYER should have an option to save the player for the next year. Meaning after finishing the first season in 2k12 players should be presented with an oppurtunity to create a save file for 2k13. So that they can import in 2k13 and continue their My player. Also this does not mean that they cannot continue their season in 2k12, they can, but they will have stored a save file for 2k13 much like Mass effect and Golden Sun. The reason why i want this is I want the experience to be more realistic cause the commentary is same season after season in the game. In 2k11 I noticed the special dialogues for special players seem to dissapear after the game reached Jan 1st.

e) Plays of the Week section

My wishlist:



1.Add more animations when winning a champioship..
2.Fix glitches like..Late game ..score tied..I got 2-3 seconds to finish make a play ..
I'm thinkin to get the game winner..But suddenly they give me a pass..And Out of bounds turnover without going out of bounds
Or My player desides to make a backcourt violation..Most of the gamers would know what I'm talkin about..
3.Continue Improving My Player..And what if NCAA replaces D-League..And we could start a My Player fresh out of high school..Play in college ..Build a Dynasty..
Also make it more realistic I mean..Put a salary..Contracts..Also other stuff from personal life of MP..
4.DON'T REMOVE MICHAEL JORDAN'S STUFF!
5.Better atmosphere when playoffs come..
6.Add Dunk Contest Skill Challenge 3pt shootout etc.to Association and my player if possible..
7.Continue improving announcement and change the announcers..I'd love playin listening to Sir Charles or Kenny Smith
With that we could have a perfect NBA 2K12!

They've extended their agreement with Michael Jordan for another three years, the Jordan content isn't going anywhere.

TNT scoreboard and theme music.

Fouls really suck in this game. It's really hard to get fouled unless I'm Kobe, Jordan, Wade, or LeBron. Plus, have the players come out if they have 3 or 4 fouls in the second quarter...

Also, MAKE THE CROWD LOUDER and more into the game. They are really quite quiet at times. I have the sound up at 100 and they still don't seem to be into it.

Please do starting 5 player introductions at the beginning... really do them. It make the game a lot funner.

We should have a few minutes before the game to do pre-game shootarounds.

I also would like to be able to have interviews, not press conferences... they aren't as often.

I think we should be able to be nominated to the 3-point shooting contest or the dunk contest. NBA Live 09 did this very well in the season mode.

MYPLAYER MODE ADDITIONS

In my player mode, it is fun... but we need something else other than games. Maybe have practices atleast once a week, or we can have special press conferences.

I also would like simulated games to be more realistic in my career mode. My player was averaging 22 ppg, 11 apg, 7 rpg, and 3.5 spg. When I simulated the game, he scored 4 points on 25% shooting and had 5 assists in 30 MINUTES!

Have the option to start out in college, or surpass; as apposed to the draft combine, because it would make it more realistic (even if the players were fake).

i wish that you can mod on the consoles and have a deeper my player mode cause thats all i play also i thin 2k and ea should do a colla for example the faces ea makes and the acc. and the shoes and basically graphics exept for the body types cause 2k graphics lacks...

Some things i disslike about NBA 2K11 was that they removed the walking with ball option from 2k10, and also when sprinting with the ball- in the beginning when the player is picking up speed he takes quick steps and bounce the ball from 1 hand to the other back and forth. Both these options was in NBA 2K10 but they removed them... I would like 2K to bring them back in NBA 2K12.

MY WISHLIST:

-My player mode has this stupid AI. The legend mode with Jordan is just surreal. I started with the NETS and EVERY play that the team runs is for Jordan. At some point the game just got boring, I can't play 2 games in that mode, 'cause in the first game of the season i got 55 points with a .35 average.
In regular my player mode it's the same.
-The AI for association mode start to get weak once you shut down their major options, I got to a point in Hall of Fame that I can lose anymore games, 'cause I learned how to play against the Hall of fame's AI.
-I love classic NBA, but a better AI should get the job done. I mean, this game is just awesome, and honestly I just managed to master the Hall of fame now, 2 months from the release of a new game, so you guys from 2ksports are making a FANTASTIC job with this game. Keep on doing this great job.

Wow guys in the video the shoes quality is awful are they gonna change that some day ?! And i don't really like the player models . The best player models were at NBA 2k9. Hope the gameplay it's still the BEST .

I really miss the "floaty" jersey physics of nba 2k6 and 2k7

I know the NBA uses the tighter jerseys now, but the jerseys feel a bit painted on now IMO.

It would be great to create own Plays.
And save Plays for Online Mode ....

My biggest hope is that 2k11 rosters and files will be compatible!

Dream on man. NBA 2K hasn't exactly been friendly to patchers. I doubt they would make it easier for rosters too.

My slightly fantasy-esque wishlist, in order of importance:
(EDITED: wishes already coming true in green)

Refine the on-ball defense further, get rid of 'magnetic' defenders, 'psychic' pass interceptions by defenders with their backs to the play, and the unrealistic/exaggerated bumping or stagger animations.

New animations. Fake passes WHILE going for a layup. Manual bounce passes. Iceman's finger roll as a floater shot?
Bring back the walking the ball upcourt animation, the omission of it was ridiculous in the first place. This is the wish that is most likely to come true (already has in the demos, as far as the walking the ball animation goes).

More customizability:
-create-a-layup&dunk-package
-create-a-sig-jumpshot, by mixing and matching the take off->hangtime->release->follow through->landing animation sections.
-create-a-crossover/spin move/hesitation-package
-manually assignable emotional/celebrational animations (a.k.a Kobe and J. Terry's 'airplane' move, Steph Curry's 'three' move, Kobe&Vujacic's 'boxing' move with each other, etc).
-More options with your custom team's jerseys/name/logo/stadium/court/coach's appearance etc.
-More CAP options. If I'm not mistaken a really old NBA 2k (forgot which one, I think it was the one with Iverson on the cover) had customizable body proportions: head size, shoulder width, arm length, etc.

Ability to play a blacktop game in My Player mode (controlling only your player, of course) at any time.

More informal/street courts. Hoping for a custom court mode like NBA street/FIFA street (forgot which one) would be too much. Remember the China, snowy, beach, Egypt (might be mixed up on this one with another game) courts in older NBA 2ks?

More realistic head and body proportion for players.

A more festive on-court celebration when you win the championship, like in the Winning Eleven/PES games.

A 'voice pitch' option/slider for your MyPlayer, like in RPGs, so your 300 pound white/Asian center doesn't always sound like a trim African American.

Less lame secrets/easter eggs. in older sports / NBA Live games we can get sunglasses, hoodies, even weird playable characters. Would be nice entertainment value at the least

NBA 2k11+all that=the perfect basketball game of all time IMO
