WESTER CONFERENCE FINALS1LA LAKERS (60-22) VS 2DALLAS MAVERICKS (51-31)For the first time ever the Dallas Mavericks and the LA Lakers will face in a playoff match. As for the regular season series the Lakers defeated the Mavericks 2-1.
Kobe Bryant had dominated the Mavericks averaging 32.5 PPG and 6.3 APG. If the Mavericks somehow stop him they got a good chance to win against the defending champ. It is said that Jason Kidd would be the main defender against Bryant.
A good match-up is store at the 4 spot. Dirk Nowiztki and Pau Gasol both had good stats when facing each other, there is no doubt that these two will be on their “A” game. Another player to look for is Jason Terry. Terry struggled in their games against Portland but with limited defenders at the guard position for the Lakers it should be a good series for him.
The Mavericks bench is incomplete because of the injury that Rodrigue Beaubois suffered. This is a huge lost for them as they will need all the energy they got when facing the Lakers bench.
With two experienced teams, this should be a long and fun series to watch.

EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS5ATLANTA HAWKS (46-36) VS 6BOSTON CELTICS (45-37)To everybody’s surprise both of these underdog teams reach the conference finals. The Boston Celtics who was hammered by injuries throughout the season rely on their teamwork and experience to beat Chicago and Orlando. While the Atlanta Hawks still on fire with them beating the highly favored Miami Heat.
They key to this series is the pace of the game. Boston is well adept in half court basketball while Atlanta likes to have a fast pace using their athleticism. Both teams have been great defensive team throughout the playoffs. The main problem for the Celtics is how to stop Joe Johnson who single handedly destroyed the Heat. While the Hawks needs to stop the Celtics frontcourt that is consists of Kevin Garnett, Glen Davis, Kendrick Perkins, Jermaine Oneal and Shaquille Oneal.
The battle of point guard will be interesting in this series. If Kirk Hinrich disrupts Rajon Rondo for setting up his teammates then the Hawks could easily take this series from the aging Celtics.
