I'm more into trance since some past NLSC member went after me, gagged me, and forced me to listen to it.
Unfortunately, no sexual abuse happened.
Really started liking it when a friend brought me to some party and a particular trance song was playing with visuals on the wall (winamp 2.xx FTW!). According to him I was just standing there near the wall for a long time looking at visuals and thought I was high, drunk or something. I haven't even started drinking nor was high (or even wanted to be high during that party), I just liked the beat to go along with the visuals. The song was about 9 minutes, and I was spaced out the whole time the song was playing according to him. Meh, I did what I came for and that was to get drunk!
Not really a follower of the genre or DJs (I refuse to call them 'artists') so I have no idea about the chronology of their work or what the DJ's sound like right now. It's a simple like or dislike if I happen to listen to one.
The ones I'm familiar with are ATB, Paul Okenfold, Armin van Buuren, and Paul van Dyk.
Used to appreciate Tiesto's works but I guess you guys are right about him changing his style a bit. He came here in my country a few years back so I listened to some of his recent works then to decide if I should go. Compared to his past works, he's really close to sucking monkey nuts imo.
I'm still trying to figure out the title of a particular ATB song. It got deleted when I formatted my old PC back then and I can't recall the title, only the beat in my head.
