People who have nothing else to do but watch players play the shit out of themselves in basketball for 96 minutes. As ZanShadow said, Sauru was just being funny, and nobody would really want to watch basketball for multiple hours.

No. I don't see why your answer illustrates why five minutes is perfect. Or any more perfect than six minutes or four minutes.

Instead of "perfect" I think you mean "I'm used to it because it's been the rule for sixty years."

Well, considering this is the first year I watch the NBA full-time, no, I'm not really used to it, but since it's the current format and you rarely see teams go to more than one OT, it can be considered effective. But you have a point, I must have been on crack to say "perfect".

Granted, it demonstrated what can go wrong in that situation but since they had no realistic chance of winning, intentionally fouling to put Nash on the free throw line wasn't going to be any more effective. It wasn't so much a case of steal vs intentional foul as pointlessly prolonging the game.

At least, we didn't see Lakers quitting like the other teams did in this year's playoffs. Untill the last minute, I could see LAL really fighting unlike Lebron and Maigic(espcly, game 3 vs BOS).

True, but when the game is out of reach with less than ten seconds left and you've been playing hard all game, it's not really quitting in the same way that the Cavs did in Games 5 and 6 of their series with the Celtics.

Yeah. Nonetheless, it was a bad foul and I could tell Fisher was not really happy with his own foul.

I thought it looked dirty when it happened but not so much when it was replayed from a couple of different angles.

one extra 12 minute quarter is good enough. You and eleven friends should play a 96-minute game and see how you like it. Then come back to this forum and tell us how you like it.

yeah it was sarcastic. then again, i usually play for 4-6 hours when i play so i am sure i could handle 96 minutes

At first, me too. Made me thought that it was out of frustration(perhaps from Lopez's dirty elbow from earlier). But seeing how the Lakers were trying so hard to get back into the game, I think he was just trying, not realizing the game was over already.

Video games or actual basketball? Because we're talking about real basketball. Everybody has the stamina to play 4 hours of NBA Live, but do they have enough to play four hours on the court? No.

i did when I played pickup games. hell we usually played full court from 12-dusk during the summer with 1 person leaving to grab dinner for the rest of us.

yea we cycled people in and out of the games with some breaks but I'm not claiming that I had more stamina than NBA players. I'm saying it is not uncommon for people to play basketball for hours on end.
Opinions are my own.

NBA players could probably play a whole day of pickup games.
