SCIENTISTS have identified the Marilyn Monroe hormone that is linked to an hour-glass body shape in women, and also an increased desire to trade-up to new men.
Women who have high levels of oestradoil also show elevated confidence and a greater inclination to have sex outside of their current relationship, according to the US-based research.
The ovarian steroid hormone is also associated with having a symmetrical face, large breasts and a low waist-to-hip ratio.
So that girlfriend who cheated on you or the fiance who broke it off a month before the wedding isn't a cold hearted bitch, she simply has a high level of oestradoil.
It's interesting, though. After all, much emphasis is placed on how promiscuity and pre-marital sex is portrayed in music, television and movies, as they're often blamed for lowering moral standards and whatnot. Personally, I think the entertainment industry cops too much blame as it is but if these hormonal imbalances/abnormalities can be linked to certain behaviour then I think it's fair to say that certain people have a predisposition to act a certain way rather than necessarily imitating what the media is supposedly glamourising.
