And even though the "prototype NBA fan usually tends to give his attention to players who want it and who attract it", the typical fan also gives recognition to constant winners/champions. (Thus the logic of "he has more rings" being usually used in some comparative arguments)

Pretty hard to crack the top two guard spots in All-Star voting with the popularity and/or performance of Kobe, T-Mac and CP3.
