Warriors ready for new season



Golden State Warriors spend their last practices working on ball handling and shooting. Don Nelson believes his team is ready to make a run to a potencial western conference semifinal. Coach Nelson also said that team is working really hard, everyone is trying to look sharp in home opener against the Clippers and former warrior Baron Davis.

''Yes we don't have superstars. But we have a team and a great team. We have exellent guards in Ellis and Crawford, pretty good forwards in Maggete and Jackson and a great center in Biedrins. Of course everyone need to show their best and if it happens we can be surprising team in the west. Conference semifinals is our mark for upcoming season.''

Don Nelson said that he is going to start the season with short lineup playing. ''We will start with Crawford at PG and Maggette at PF. Ellis and Jackson should be great help in outside and inside we are looking for great play from Biedrins. Andris was worked hard in training camp. He made some improvement in his one on one defense and he is looking very good for now. With slow tempo teams I'm looking to start with Wright at PF. In these games Maggete will be our 6th men.''

Just one question, why is Monta the SG and Jamal the PG? I think you should switch them xD

I'm sure this will be a lot longer then my previous stories for nba live. Just because the game is great and team is with great potencial. For PG - Yes it was a difficult decision, but Ellis isn't a point guard in my opinion. I probably switch them in future, but for now I like current situation.

Crawford shines in season opener



Golden State Warriors started season with a tough win over Los Angeles Clippers(112:110). Jamal Crawford stole the show by dropping 37 points. He also made two big free throws with 1.2 seconds left in the game. Former warrior Baron Davis scored 20 points and dished out 12 assists in his first game with Clippers.

Warriors lost each of first 3 quarters, but started 4Q with 8-0 run which helped to got momentum on their side. Corey Maggette and Andris Biedrins provided a great help to Crawford. Maggette scored 10 of his 17 points in final quarter and Andris Biedrins earned double double(14 points 10 rebounds), he also blocked 6 shots and got 3 steals. Stephen Jackson did everything tonight(12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists), but struggled with his shots. He only made 4 of his 16 field goals.

Don Nelson : ''I'm happy with our performance tonight. We played good in offense, but struggled with our free throws. We need to work with this point, because free throws is very important part from the game. Baron and Zach were great tonight, but our Crawford was just fantastic, he made almost all his shots and that's great.''

Captain Jack : ''Good game. Team played great, Jamal showed why he is one of the best guards in the league. I struggled with my shots and I need to work more with my shooting in practice, because I'm the leader of this team. It's great to beat Baron's team, we are good friends. We'll see which team(Clippers and Warriors) will be better this year. I'm sure we have a great chance to beat them.''

Nice win.I dont think you should switch Crawford and Ellis.Crawford is more of a PG than Ellis,Crawford played PG for the Knicks.

First game on the road



The Golden State Warriors look to win their first game on the road when they face the Bobcats in Charlotte. Both teams have won in their home openers and both teams look to win 2nd straight.

Several sources said that Kelenna Azubuike and undrafted rookie Anthony Morrow isn't happy with their roles at the moment. Azubuike played only 3 minutes and Morrow didn't got the playing time in Warriors first game in the season(112-110). Azubuike want's bigger role on the team, but Don Nelson said that Belinelli currently looks better the Kelenna. ''Both players are great and they both need to understand that we have many guards and small forwards in team. Azubuike and Morrow will got the playing time when they will be ready to produce.''

Warriors will need to find the way how to stop Bobcats leading scorer Gerald Wallace who scored 27 points on Bobcats first win in the season(108-100 over Orlando Magic). Nellie will start with Brendan Wright at PF who will try to help Andris Biedrins to stop Emeka Okafor. Crawford look to continue to be great scorer for Warriors(he scored 37 in first game against Clippers).

Warriors got easy win over Bobcats



The Golden State Warriors won their first game on the road. Leading by as many as 30 points they finished the game with 10 point handicap over the Bobcats(109:99). Monta Ellis was Warriors leading scorer with 22 points. Gerald Wallace scored 21 points and Emeka Okafor added 20 points and 12 rebounds for Bobcats who got their first lose in the season.

Warriors started 4quarter with their bench guys and they almost passed away all 25 points lead. Bobcats scored 41 points in 4 quarter and decreased Warriors lead to only 7 points, but then CJ Watson and Anthony Randolph took over and saved the game for Warriors. CJ finished game with 8 points and 7 assists(6 points with free throws) and Randolph scored 8 and grabbed 4 rebounds. He also got 2 huge blocks over Emeka Okafor which helped to save the lead.

Don Nelson : ''My guys played well tonight. Exspecially Ellis and Crawford. Also Maggette and Biedrins did great job. Jackson again missed a lot of shots, but still he did a great job in defense. I can't be happy with our performance in final quarter, bench guys need to understand that it's their chance to show me why they need to play more, but if they play that bad, that nothing will be changed. Watson and Randolph played great, but others looked too relaxed.''

Captein Jack : ''Great win. We got huge lead, the reserves have a chance to play a lot in this game. I got some rest in the end. We need to continue to play that well in other games too, if we will do so, then look out western conference!''
