Oh, What a surprise, I'm starting a new dynasty. Well I must say, this is the only good excuse so far. First, I made a stupid trade in my Suns dynasty, and those rosters was manually updated. Now I'm using NLSC roster and playing on NBA Live 07. I will be using Portland and as always, will be hoping to get this one on a long run, but I need your help, generally that means comments, advices and stuff like that.

Good luck with your dynasty. It will be interesting to see what comes out of the Portland squad.
Be on the look out for my Hawks dynasty.

PORTLAND EXCHANGE PLAYERS WITH CHICAGO

Image
Nocioni is joining Portland
Portland-Today the Portland and Chicago coaches agreed
on a trade. Chicago will send Small forward Andres Nocioni and scrub
Cedric Simmons to Portland, while Portland will have to give up on
Forward/Center Channing Frye and Center Joel Pryzbilla.

This trade gives coach Del Negro his desperate need of a big man.
Frye has a lot of potential to be one. The 6'11" player will probably
start at Center. Joel Pryzbilla, the other player to go to Chicago,
will probably spend most of his time at the irregular list. The
29 year old will not have much of a chance in Chicago.

Portland, on the other hand, gets an good all-around player
in Nocioni. His shooting ability's will be a big plus for
Portland, also he will get dunked by Vince Carter again.
Nocioni is predicted to start at SF over Travis Outlaw
who will move to the bench. Scrub Cedric Simmons brings
nothing to the team and will probably spend his season at the
Irregular list.

Nice trade. Fair trade. Nocioni is a nice pick-up for Portland. Frye is a nice pick-up for Chicago. Give Simmons a test-drive, he might be more useful then you think. Certain low rated "scrubs" in this game can be beasts.

NBA SEASON PREVIEW WITH TNT OVERTIME
Image

Kenny--Hello and welcome to TNT Overtime for the season preview
Ernie--Hello
Charles--Welcome
Kenny--Hehe, I actually got to introduce the show for the first time
Ernie--Yes, indeed you did Kenny
Charles--Yes he did, but he forgot to say his name, you can't introduce without saying your name chump
Kenny--Sorry Charles, Welcome to TNT Overtime for the season preview, this is Kenny Smith along with Ernie Jonson and Charles "Where did my hair go" Barkley
Ernie--hahaha nice one
Kenny--So Charles, where did your hair go?
Charles--I'm afraid it went with my virginity back in the day
Ernie--OK, that is one thing I don't want to know Charles, lets get back to the season preview. This NBA season looks very strong guys, we have teams like Boston that can go to a 65+ record, and the Lakers with Kobe Bryant, the reigning MVP who can deliver. Also there is Lebron James with Cleveland and Chris Paul with the Hornets.
Kenny--Yes, the one thing about Lebron is, that he can still get better, he is already in the league top 3, but this kid has the potential to be one of the best ever and to take Cleveland to a championship ring.
Charles--Yes he does, but he doesn't have a team. Mo Williams isn't that good. Lebron needs just one good player to win a ring. Impossible trades can happen. Cleveland needs to bring somebody to the team if they want Lebron to stay in the 2010 season
Ernie--What about the defending champions Boston Celtics. They have KG, Pierce and Allen, and have a very strong bench. Rondo is getting much better and Perkins is a decent center
Kenny--Yes but I think that they are the best team in the league. Pierce is really a team leader and can win a game himself. They are really good and will depend on the health of the big three if they want a ring this year
Charles--Yes, the competition this year is much stronger. Bynum is back for the Lakers and he and Gasol will probably be the "Twin towers" this year.
Ernie--OK, you said that Lebron is one of the premium players in the NBA, what are your predictions who will win the MVP this season, will Kobe be able to defend it?
Kenny--No, he won't. This year Lakers attacks wont be all around Kobe. Kobe will have to pass more, and shoot less. He is also having to step up his D. You see, when you have 4 great guys on the team, Kobe, Pau, Bynum and there's Odom...You can't average 30 points a game. You have other players with egos to feed. Kobe will have adapt a lot this season and I think Lebron will be the MVP this season
Charles--Well, you're wrong Kenny, Kobe will defend his MVP. I think...I think that he will have around 25 PPG and 6 RPG with 5 APG. But basically, he will win it because of his team record. I predict the Lakers go over 65 wins this season
Ernie--There are many new players to enter the league, Derrick Rose is probably the best one. Who has the best chances to win the ROY?
Kenny--I'd have to go with OJ Ernie. OJ is a born leader and is in a really weak team where he will be the first attacking option. Beasley won't be as good as he should and Oden won't be able to adept to the speed of the NBA. Derrick Rose will be his only competition in my belief.
Charles--I say that Derrick Rose will win the ROY. I don't know why but he will.
Ernie--Enough of talking, lets see the teams preview
Kenny--OK lets, Charles give me my donut back...

TEAMS PREVIEW

ATLANTA HAWKS
Atlanta has a solid team this season. With Josh Smith getting his D better, to Horford being the ROY runner-up. They have a solid bench and a real star in Joe Johnson. And while Johnson is a real star, Smith and Williams are inconsistent and will have to step up if Atlanta wants to make the playoffs

BOSTON CELTICS
It's an old saying that winning teams don't change. Boston has done just that. They have only lost James Posey and PJ Brown. All the big Boston teams have won more than one championship. Celtics are trying to win another. They have KG, Pierce and Allen. Also a rising star in Rajon Rondo. They will probably defend their title

CHARLOTTE BOBCATS
This team is destined to the bottom of the league. Jason Richardson is in Phoenix and they don't have any natural scorers in the team anymore. They have no chance for the playoffs and will have a disappointing season

CHICAGO BULLS
A new leader is in town. His name is Derrick Rose and he will lead Chicago to the Playoffs. Coach Del Negro will have a lot of work to do. They have good guards, but no real low post threat. All they got under the basket is Channing Frye and Drew Gooden. I predict tehy will make the playoffs

CLEVELAND CAVALIERS
This season they could be title contenders. But Lebron's teammates have to play better if they want to be a title contender team. They can get to 55 wins in this season and will be an very exciting team to watch. Certain playoff.

DALLAS MAVERICKS
The players have removed Avery Johnson. Rick Carlisle is a great coach and can make a lot of this team. The Mavericks have almost the same team as last season. They are enough good to make the playoffs, but their limit is the second round

DENVER NUGGETS
This is a team that doesn't play defense. They got rid of their only defensive player Marcus Camby for a second round pick, all because cap space. Also, Billups is in town, he and Carmelo can make good things. They can make the playoff but won't get in the second round

DETROIT PISTONS
This is the last chance of this generation. All the important players stayed except Chauncey who was traded for Allen Iverson. Pistons have 4 good veterans that have a last shot of winning a championship title. They also have good talents on the bench in Jason Maxiell, Amir Johnson and Rodney Stuckey. They can suprise in the playoffs but will have to play defence on the level of their earlier seasons

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS
The Warriors are one of the worst teams in the NBA. They have good scorers in Maggette and Jackson, but have no defensive players. Monta Ellis isn't a natural playmaker, so he will have to adapt to the position. They have a weak bench and surely won't make the playoffs this season. They can hope for high lottery pick

HOUSTON ROCKETS
Ron Artest is in town. If McGrady and Yao stay healthy, this is a very strong team that can suprise in the west. On paper the Rockets have a team that can be a title challenger, but they have a fairly poor playmaker in Rafer Alston. Can Francis get back on his old tracks and help this team win a ring?

INDIANA PACERS
Danny Granger is the new leader of the Pacers. There is no more Jermaine O'Neal who is with Toronto now. They have a good playmaker in T.J. Ford, but don't have any good big man. I think they will miss the playoffs by a few wins

LA CLIPPERS
We present you the brand new Clippers. This is a team that is good on paper but they have a lot of work to do. They have a great Play maker in Baron Davis, a rising star in Al Thornton, and a defensive presence in Marcus Camby. If the atmosphere in the locker room go high, they can go deep into the playoffs.

LA LAKERS
Andrew Bynum has returned and now the Lakers are the strongest team in the NBA. They also have the strongest bench. Kobe will probably get a new ring, and Gasol and Bynum will have breakout seasons. This team is capable of winning more than one championship and will be the most fun team to watch

MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
They are young and fast. A new NBA star, OJ Mayo has came to Memphis. Rudy Gay is quickly becoming one of the better players in the league. They are stacked at guards, but don't have anyone good under the rim. They don't have a chance for playoffs

MIAMI HEAT
Miami has changed much in the last few seasons. They have won a championship, were title contenders and last season had the worst record in the league. On paper, they can make the playoffs, and Wade is playing really well lately. Can they suprise again in playoffs?

MILWAUKEE BUCKS
The Tandem Redd & Jefferson looks very powerful. They have a solid team, Jefferson will improve the teams defense and Redd and Bogut will take care of offense. They have almost no chances for making the play-offs, but with a little luck, God knows...

MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
The team rebuilding is continuing this season. Big Al is the team leader and double-teaming on him will be punished by Mike Miller. Improvement on last season will be shown, but play-off is an mission impossible.

NEW JERSEY
One era has finished, the other one has started. No more Kidd and Jefferson. This team is yougn and talented. They have Devin Harris and Vince Carter on guard positions. They also have the Chinese sensation Yi Jianlian under the rim. They will fight for the 8th seed on the East, but probably won't make it.

NEW ORLEANS HORNETS
Will Posey be the missing piece? Hornets have a great starting 5. The Paul/Chandler combination is proven to be deadly, oh and yes, there is Peja on the 3 and West on the mid-ranger. They can go really deep in play-offs.

NEW YORK KNICKS
No more Crawford or Randolph. This re-born Knicks are looking much better under the hand of Mike D'Antoni. The big problem is Stephon Marbury, will he play or will he not. He is still a very good Point Guard. With him the Knicks may have chances to make the play-offs

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER
This is the worst team in the NBA. They have no defense, only offensive threat is Kevin Durant and will not make the play-offs in a very long time. Only a miracle can save this team

ORLANDO MAGIC
Superman is looking a bit more out of his team mates. Rashard Lewis isn't showing why he is paid that much. If he gets back in his Seattle form, They will have the best Forward/ Center line in the NBA. D12 can take the deep in play-offs

PHILADELPHIA 76ers
The Rebirth of the Sixers. They are once again a big team. With Brand and Iguodala at their team, play-offs should be assured. The outside shot will be handled by Rush and Marshall. The Legendary Blocker Theo Ratliff is here. They will be the team to run from in the play-offs

PHOENIX SUNS
Nash's last hope. He can't run as he could back in his MVP days. Shaq is still decent, but not dominant as he used to be. They have 2 very athletic guys in J-Rich and Amar'e Stoudamire. They can cause trouble in the play-offs but will probably get knocked-out early

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS
Greg Oden is finally 100% ready. Greg Oden and the Spanish sensation Rudy Fernandez are finally back in the team. Portland has a young and perspective team. Roy is their leader, and if he has an all-star season again, Portland could make the play-offs

SACRAMENTO KINGS
The Kings are bad this season. They have absolutely no defense in the team and the only players that can score are Kevin Martin and John Salmons. They are re-building the team and will look for a high lottery pick this season

SAN ANTONIO SPURS
Hello there, have you forgotten about us. Remember we have won titles in '05,'07 and we are looking to win it in '09. As long as Tim Duncan is playing well this team is a title contender. Ginobili and Parker are the best guard duo in the league and San Antonio is dangerous this season

TORONTO RAPTORS
Bosh & O'Neal...sounds heavenly. This is a great team, they have scorers in Chris Bosh, Shooters at Jason Kapono, Playmakers at Jose Calderon and Highflyers at Jamario Moon. They could go deep

UTAH JAZZ
Before the season, Jerry Sloan said this is the most talented team he has ever coached. Will the Jazz exceed their expectations this season and finally make something in the play-offs? This is going to be one heck of a season ofr them

WASHINGTON WIZARDS
They are good and capable. Arenas and Jamison have re-signed and this team is good. The Key factor are injuries. If the go around them, the Wizards can cause a real mess in the playoffs

The rookie class this season looks very strong. There are great playmakers like Derricks Rose and DJ Augustin. Great 2 Guards in OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon. Also there are great forwards like Michael Beasley and Kevin Love. Centers are good too. Greg Oden and Brook Lopez are promising players and will be expected to contribute. Lets take a look from the Trailblazers perspective.

The Blazers have 3 rookies. Greg Oden, Rudy Fernandez and Jerryd Bayless. Lets take a look at the Blazers rookie preview rookie this season.

Image
Greg Oden---The 20 year old center has great dunking ability to go along with his defensive presence. The Trailblazers can just hope that he isn't a Kwame Brown. He underwent microfracture knee surgery in September 2007, and missed the entire 2007–08 NBA season as a result. On April 20, Oden announced that he would be entering the 2007 NBA Draft. On June 28, 2007, he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers with the #1 overall pick. Two of his Ohio State teammates were also chosen in the first round: Mike Conley, Jr. at #4, and Daequan Cook at #21.
To begin his Trail Blazers career, Oden chose the uniform number 52. On July 1, before his first NBA practice, Oden was signed to a contract which provided for two guaranteed seasons and team options for third and fourth seasons.
Although picked first overall in the 2007 NBA Draft, Oden is classified as a rookie for the 2008-09 season because of the knee injury. Entering the 2008–09 season he is listed at 250 lbs, but according to Blazers' trainer Jay Jensen he weighed about 290 lbs in July. Can he win the ROY award, he surely has the potential...

Image
Jerryd Bayless---He was selected 11th in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, then traded to the Portland Trail Blazers along with Ike Diogu in exchange for the rights to Brandon Rush (13th pick), Jarrett Jack and Josh McRoberts. He played a year of college basketball for the Arizona Wildcats.
Blazers general manager Kevin Pritchard stated "Bayless will make our backcourt more athletic. He's a proven scorer and a tenacious competitor." On July 20, 2008 Jerryd Bayless was added to the USA Select Team. At the 2008 NBA Vegas Summer League, he earned the Most Valuable Player Award after leading the league in scoring at 29.8 points per game and leading the Trail Blazers to a record of 3 wins and 2 losses. He will be the Blazers starting Point guard

Image
On June 28, 2007, Fernández was taken 24th overall in the NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, who subsequently traded his draft rights along with James Jones to the Portland Trail Blazers for cash.

Rudy Fernández announced at a press conference on Friday, June 6, 2008, that he would leave DKV Joventut to join the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2008-09 NBA season, and he signed a contract with the Blazers on July 1. His athletic ability is needed at the Blazers as he and Rodriguez can make some nice plays. He will be Brandon Roy's backup.

PORTLAND WAIVES SHAVLIK RANDOLPH

Image
Today, Portland's head coach Nate McMillan has announced the waiving of Shavlik Randolph.
On August 5, 2005, the 6'10" (2.08 m) Randolph was signed to a free-agent contract by the Philadelphia 76ers. Randolph played for Duke University from the 2003 season through 2005.
In the summer of 2005, Randolph surprised many by declaring himself eligible for the NBA Draft. His decision was surprising for two principal reasons. First, Randolph had so far failed to meet the expectations set by his outstanding high school career. Second, he had one year of eligibility remaining on a team that many observers had predicted would vie for the 2006 NCAA Championship.

Initially Randolph and his father described Randolph’s declaration for the NBA Draft as a chance to improve his skills in order to help him at Duke. An NCAA regulation allows underclassmen who declare for the NBA Draft to return to college if they don’t sign with an agent. Despite his public comments, Randolph ultimately opted to stay in the Draft.

Randolph went undrafted in the 2005 NBA Draft, but on August 5, 2005, was signed to a free-agent contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. This contract did not guarantee him a spot on the 76ers' roster, but after participating in training camp, Randolph earned a roster spot. One of the ironic implications of Randolph's signing with Philadelphia is that the 76ers hold a portion of their training camp at Cameron Indoor Stadium, Randolph's college arena.Although he scarcely played in the early part of the season, and was expected to play few if any minutes during his rookie season, Randolph took an expanded role with the team in late December 2005, after reportedly impressing other players and coaches in practices by being extremely hard working and good natured. Randolph posted season bests of 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Randolph broke his ankle on November 30, 2006, in an accident during practice that teammates described as gruesome, comparing it to former NFL quarterback Joe Theisman's career-ending injury. In February 2007, sports columnist Michael Wilbon of The Washington Post singled out Randolph's comments in reaction to learning of ex-NBA player John Amaechi's admission of homosexuality as "idiotic". On playing with a gay player, Randolph was quoted as telling reporters, "As long as you don't bring your gayness on me, I'm fine." In that same article, Wilbon also offered his opinion that Randolph, a player with a well-documented spiritual nature, is someone "who likes to throw his religious beliefs in everybody's face". This waiving will clean up 1 roster space for a signing of a young and talented center.

BLAZERS GIVE UTAH CASH CONSIDERATION FOR PROMISING YOUNG CENTER ANTE TOMIC

Image
Today, Head Coach Nate McMillan has announced a minor trade. Portland will give Utah 300,000 $ for the draft rights of Ante Tomic. Later that day they signed him on an 1-year minimum deal.
Ante Tomić (born February 17, 1987 in Dubrovnik, SR Croatia)is a Croatian basketball player currently playing for KK Zagreb in the Croatian League.

The 7'2" center was drafted in the second round (44th overall) in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. Tomić is a member of the Croatia national basketball team. Tomic has played really good for Croatian team Zagreb CO in the NLB league averaging a double-double. He will battle with Raef Lafrentz for the status of the second Center in Portland. He has a great shooting touch and can pull down many rebounds. He has the talent to become a decent center in the NBA.

Wow I really like the presentation for the season preview, mind if I use it as an inspiration?

I'll make it slightly different though...thats where I'm almost at in my new Miami dynasty (not fantasy draft), the ATL one got corrupted file errors...

PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS PRACTICE

"Good job guys, keep knocking them jumpers"-Coach McMillan said as taking a shot himself
This was the teams last practice after the opening night game against the Thunder.
"OK guys gather around. We'll play low post defense and offense"-Said coach McMillan. The first pair was Rudy on offense and Roy on Defense. Rudy started from the top of the key, crossed over Roy and went for the easy layup. The whole team started laughing at Roy. "Damn Brandon keep cleaning the floor son"-said Travis while laughing his head off. The next pair was Oden on offense and LaMarcus on defense. Oden started from the free-throw line. He posted up and tried to dunk on LaMarcus but they both crashed on the floor like little kids. "Jesus Christ Aldridge you jumped on me like you was Superman"-said Greg while getting up. Then a funny thing happened. Steve Blake said-"Hey coach lets play ball, I'll be on offense and you on D"-"Alright Steve lets roll"-Said Mcmillan while handling the ball to Steve. He started from the top of the key. Tried to Cross his coach over, but McMillan came up with the steal. "Alright coach I was teasing you, now lets play for real"-said Blake. He stared from the key, posted up and tried to hit the floater. It was an air ball. The whole team started to laugh. "Hello, Boeing have you seen a ball anywhere near you"-Webster was teasing Steve. "Alright guys gather up, Steve go run 20 suicides kid, you haven't got a clue. The season begins tomorrow guys, you need to stay focused. We can have fun every now and then but Basketball is a serious sport. We must make the play-off boys"...-coach Mcmillan continued to talk. The season opener is tomorrow at Ford Center.

STAFF FIRING OVERVIEW

This was a suprising day in the Rose Garden. Paul Allen, the owner of the Blazers, was pissed with the team not making the play-offs last year. although McMillan is one of the better Head Coaches in the league, he was in some real trouble today.
"Jenna, can you ask Nate and Kevin to come to my office" -asked Allen his secretary. "Sure Mr. Allen, they will be there in a minute."

Knock knock..."Come in guys"-said Allen as Kevin Pritchard, the Blazers GM and Nate McMillan, their HC came in. "Ok guys, take seat. You both know I have high expectations for this team. And yet, no playoffs whatsoever. I'm afraid one of you is getting fired, I just haven't figured which one"-Allen continued-"But boss, it isn't my fault. The team is really doing well now and we will surely make the play-offs this year"-McMillan was fighting for his job.-"Shut up you little fucker, it's all because of you. What does the GM have to do with making the play-offs"-Pritchard was playing smart.-"Jesus Christ Kevin are you kidding me. Have you lost your fucking mind. This is the stupidest thing you have ever said. Remember who made all the trades, it was you. Now we still have to play for that fat deal of Steve Francis."-Allen was angry-"Yea boss but this is a team that should made the play-offs last year"-Pritchard was defending himself-You are right Kevin, and that's why I'm firing you. Now get the hell out of my office, I want your desk empty by the end of the day"-Allen was shouting-"Fuck you Allen, I can do better than the Blazers anyway"-Prtichard leaved the Rose Garden for good.
"Ok boss, you aren't firing me too right"-McMillan was kissing his ass-"No i ain't, but now we need a new GM, do you have any recommendations?"-"Well, there is that Jim Fayer dude from the Clippers"-"Nah, he has retired from basketball."-"What about Mr. Washburn then"-McMillan asked...-"He is going with that T'Wolves job offer, what now"-Allen though he was fucked up-"Well, I know a guy that really knows a lot, and I can get him easily."-McMillan replied.-"Who is he"-Allen was curious-"His name is Luka Mandich and he is Croatian"-McMillan was smiling.
"Ok, lets call the guy"-Allen said
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5 MINUTES LATER

"OK boss, this is his number"-McMillan said-"OK, so call him"-Allen handed him the phone

beep....beep...beep....."Hello"-a voice replied
"Hey there, did I reach Luka Mandich" -McMillan asked
"Yes, who wants to know"-Mandich replied
"Hey Luka its Nate, how is life in Croatia"-McMillan was hugging Mr.Allen
"Oh hey there Nate, its good, whats the reason you're calling me"-Mandich asked
"Well, we have a job offer here in the Blazers for you, you would be the GM, what do you say. You just need to come to Portland to sign the papers"-McMillan said
"Whoa, that sounds great, tell you what. I'll get on tonight's flight to Portland and then call you to pick me up, damn thanks man, but why me"-Mandich was ecstatic
"I have a lot of belief in you, just hope you won't prove me wrong"-McMillan said
"No I won't, damn I just can't believe it, I'll go pack now, see you soon man"-said Mandich as he hung up

"Well that was easy"-McMillan though...but then...Beep...Beep-Allen's phone rang. As he answered it he couldn't believe it. "Hello Mr. Allen, Liam Washburn speaking, I heard you don't have a GM"........

To be continued

A NEW GM IS IN TOWN, OR IS HE?

There was a lot of things going in Rose Garden. GM Kevin Pritchard was fired, and 2 very talented guys were competing for the spot. The candidates are Liam Washburn, a very talented and controversial guy who has an offer from th T'Wolves and the Blazers, and Luka Mandich, a 33 year old Croatian basketball coach who is very likely going to return to Croatia.

Liam was the first to arrive, he quickly got to Paul Allen's office and knocked on the door...

"Who is it"-Allen replied
"It's Washburn, who would it be"-Liam responded
"Hello Mr.Washburn, please take a seat, how was your flight"-Allen said
"It was good, thanks. Where is McMillan"-he asked
"Oh he will be here right away, so lets discuss business"-Allen was hyped
"OK, but I have high requests"-Liam started
"I want a 1-year 2 million deal"-he continued
"Whoa, Liam, you know we can't offer you that. Can we somehow negotiate the offer"-Allen was concerned

Knock...knock

"Who the fuck is it"-Allen was furious
"It's me boss, oh hi there Mr. Washburn, boss, Mandich has arrived."-McMillan said
"What?? Mandich, the dynasty failure, you are choosing him over me?-Washburn was angry
"No we aren't. We will look your contract request and decide who will we hire"-Allen was calming Washburn down
"Liam, we meet again"-Mandich was suprised
"Sit down you dynasty failure, this job is mine"-Washburn was full of confidence
"You wish. So, Mr.Allen, what is your offer"-Mandich started
"I'm looking to offer you a 2-year 700k deal"-Allen said
"Thats a little low-on-money contract, don't you think"-Mandich was suprised
"Yes, but we are in a tough situation right now, with the financial crisis an' all"-Allen was explaining himself
"Ok, but what are you expecting from us"-Liam asked
"Well, I'm asking play-offs this season, and a shown improvement from last year. But what are you securing me?" -Allen said
"I'll secure you the 5th seed, at least two all-stars and a all-nba second team player. I also secure you a great blockbuster trade."-Washburn was full of confidence
"Yes but you are asking for 2 million"-Allen replied
"Yes, but take a look what will I make of the team"-Washburn said
"How about you Mandich, what are you securing us"-Allen was curious
"I'll secure you the play-offs, All-rookie 1st team and at least one player participating in the All-star weekend. But I'll suprise you with this one. I'll only ask you for 550K, trust me, you won't regret if you choose me.-Mandich said
"Ok guys, I'll ask you to leave the room so me and Nate can discuss this"-Allen said
"What is there do discuss"-Washburn was sure he will get hired
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"What do you think Nate, who should we hire"- "Well, personally I'd take Washburn but he is a little bit to expensive and am asshole, he will cause trouble in the dressing room"-Nate was concerned
"Yes you are right. Plus, Mandich is promising us play-offs, and is asking for a really cheap contract, but only 1 player in the All-star weekend"-Allen was shaking his head

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE...

"You can leave Mandich, this job is mine. They don't want you to ruin another dynasty"-Washburn was making fun of Mandich-"First of all, they will take me because I'm cheap, like your momma. Second of all, shut the fuck up you are pissing me off"-Mandich replied
"Guys I will have to ask you to calm down please"-Jenna the secretary said
"This dumb ass is teasing me-Washburn said-"Shut up Liam, they will reject both of us"-Mandich was calming Washburn down-"What's wrong Luka, scared of losing?"-Washburn continued

"OK guys, you can come in now"-McMillan said

As they came in Liam started...

"So when do I start, Boss?"-he said
"Shut up Liam, both of you sit down"-Allen was pissed
"Ok, so we made a lot of thinking and we decided to choose...."

To be continued....

P.S. -Lamrock don't take this personally, It was just a story, sort of like Chaser's Baylor and Fayer one

Hope you guys are following this

A NEW GM IS IN TOWN...OFFICIAL

Image

This is the picture of the newest GM of the Portland Trail Blazers. Luka Mandich will be that person. Liam Washburn was rejected as his wished sallary was too much for the Blazers. Mandich is expected to bring a big name to Portland in the next few seasons and to make the play-offs this year. There shouldn't be much problem about the play-offs, the Blazers have a solid team. But the problem is consistency. The only consistent player is Roy, and he isn't that good to lift the team. Mandich will have a lot of work to do. He is expected to make a franchise player, the closest thing to that currently is Brandon Roy. He was introduced to the press earlier today and will be introduced to the team later today. He signed a 2-year contract worth 1.1 Million overall. That is cheap when you consider it to the salary of other GM's. We wish every luck to Mandich

Please post some comments, damn I got a reply by the SIT :P

I actually hope you keep Bayless, hes a baller.
I would SUGGEST trading Outlaw and Roy for maybe Joe Johnson?
Either way keep up the good work Mandich.

PORTLAND WINS IN SEASON OPENER

PORTLAND VS. OKLAHOMA CITY

Portland has won in the season opener. It wasn't a blowout, but also it wasn't a tight game. Portland eventually won with the score 100-89 in their favor. Greg Oden was the player of the game with 16 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 assists. A good performance from the big guy.
The first quarter wasn't particularly special, with Oklahoma city being the "better" team in the first quarter, the score at the end of the first was 22-20 for the Thunder.
2nd quarter was low scoring, both teams scoring only 38 combined. The reason was great defense by both sides, and when Oklahoma City plays good defense, you know something is wrong. The half ended tied at 40.
In the second half the Blazers finally have woken up. They completely outplayed the Thunder and taken the win. Other than Greg Oden , there were many more good performances on both sides. Chris Wilcox was the Thunders go-to guy when needed, he had a good game with 22 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. The Thunder had more good performances. Damien Wilkins scoring 23 and Jeff Green scoring 10 to go with an incredible 18 rebounds. Kevin Durant disappointed, scoring only 15 with 7/20 shooting in Oklahoma City's lost.

On the other side, Portland didn't have any special performance from neither of the players, but they played like a team and won the game. Lamarcus Aldridge had a double-double, scoring 10 and pulling down 13 rebounds. He also had 4 assists and 2 steals. Martell Webster really had something special going on today, scoring 22 and hitting 5 three-pointers, he was Portland's best scorer. Brandon Roy ha a terrible shooting night, shooting only 5/16 and having an mediocre 15 points.
