What's up with freethrow?

Wed Nov 26, 2003 8:40 pm

Ok, this might sound silly, but I really think the free-throw bar is weird.
It happened to me so many times.

Example- when I put Kobe to the line to shoot 2 FT. I did press the bottom at the center of T-meter and it stopped and I made the first FT. (NO PROBLEM)

The second FT, I did press exactly at the center of the T-meter, but this time it won't stop at the center. It stopped at end of T-meter.!!! What the hell with that? This is totally sucks coz I am losing the game.

Can someone explain this problem?

It happens to me too.

Maybe the game adds a small component of random when shooting FT's, or maybe the sucess of the FT depends of any other player ratings.

It is IMHO a great improvement. No more season 97% for your team, it was weird. I'm good at FT and I'm averaging no more than 78% in my dynasty. I have set the slider to 90 to get this and even I'm thinking on raise it to 100.

Both lines must intersect the blue box in the centre of the backboard. Remember that the size of the blue box and the speed of the lines varies depending on who's shooting the free throws.

It happens to me quite a bit too. But it doesn't really matter because normally as long as it's touching the edge of the blue box it's good. Never missed a shot this way yet even with this bug.

So this is a BUG? MAN! my lakers trailed by 2 and five seconds to end the game. Kobe hit the first freethrow when i press the bottom at the center of t-meter. I did the same thing to the second freethrow, but i missed the damn thing. I lost 95-94.

stonecold:

its not a bug -it just depends on yr graphics card. in 2003 if you didn't have a decent graphics card the t meter would seem to be too hard to use its probably the same this year.
with a good card the meter will be smooth -you won't have problems when presseing a button and getting a delay with the t meter as you are experiencing.
