Let's show 2K9 PC Developers our Appreciation!

I don't know reason why ppl still prefer playing LIVE 08 on the PC rather than play a real basketball game on the PC, 2K9. I see that there's alot of ppl making patches and updates for LIVE 08 in order to get the game updated with courts and cyberfaces, but no matter what they do, it doesn't compare to what 2K9 looks like since it's next-gen. Also 2K9 plays a lot better gameplay-wise with less bugs than LIVE 08 so you cannot argue that ppl like LIVE 08 gameplay better since 2K9 is clearly more realistic. It would be awesome if those LIVE 08 patchers to convert to 2K9 and also it will raise the level of awareness of 2K9 on the PC (maybe the reason why the PC patch is late) and to prove to 2K developers that we, PC users, do care about 2K basketball so that they can release a PC patcher faster and that they will further release 2K basketball games every year from now on. I truly believe that 2K was testing the PC market when it released 2K9 and we have to show them that we fully support their decision so that future 2K basketball games will be released.

I've made a thread at the Official 2K9 PC forum: http://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=197649 and it would be nice for you guys to register there in order to say "thank you" so we can raise 2K9 PC awareness and let developers know we appreciate the PC version so they will continue making patches and Basketball games in the future for us PC users.

Showing them that we care won't get them to work faster in releasing a patch. The more people buy the game, the more money they make, the more resources they can utilize, the faster a patch gets done.

Not everybody who has a PC has one with the requirements to play NBA 2K9, but it can probably run Live.

But still I just want to let them know that we really appreciate them for making 2K9 possible for PC users. Also maybe this will make treat us like a real gamers and second to none so that next time they will release the PC game and patches, they will release it at the same time as the xbox360/ps3 release.

Yeah,your right that's why i still patch and play nba live 08.It is really dissapointing to see people tempting other people who likes live to convert to 2k9..so to me, the phrase"It would be awesome if those LIVE 08 patchers to convert to 2K9" is really unacceptable.At the same time I admit that 2k9 is way better than live but I still prefer nba live 08.

"Also" was never found on TC#10's post .It is acceptable for nba live patchers to also work for 2K but it is unacceptable for a person TO FORCE ANOTHER PERSON TO SHIFT FROM LIVE TO 2K

Hey i'm not forcing everyone to stop patching for NBA LIVE 08 and forcing them to patch for 2K9, all i'm saying is that it would be AWESOME if they chose to do 2K9 since they are really good patchers. I never told anyone to STOP and I don't have any power to....

I am pretty sure that patchers would convert to 2k9 if there were tools that could allow more then what texmod allows you to do. Not only that, but once the new patch gets released, texmod will not work with it. So, we really need to get on the ball about finding someone who can crack the compression and file types and then create an importer and exporter.

Are you sure that texmod will not work once the new patch from 2K is available? Maybe we can use our original .exe to get the patch and then go back to our old method using texmod after the path has been implemented?

Yes, but i'm not sure about when it will be released or what fixes it will address, but you'll probably hear it first here

If you get the patch, and you go back to the texmod method, you won't get some, if not all of the patches fixes or updates when you play the game.

How can someone seriously prefer live 08 on pc.. I dont know what you guys see in it.. After a week of playing I dumped it for live06.
EA doesnt even care enough to release patches
