Marion on the block

Arguably a win-win situation for anyone interested in trading for him. His expiring contract is a concern for anyone who would like to keep him around beyond this season but he'd probably re-sign if he found the situation favourable and if not, that's around $18 mil coming off the books. For anyone who'd like to shake things up now and pursue free agents down the road, it wouldn't be a bad gamble either.

Maybe he can be traded to the Clippers for Kaman or Camby.

The Heat need size up front badly.

I wish they didn't trade him away from the Suns. Just like Q and Joe too as well, but they could've shopped for quality big man besides Shaq. Marion was not happy about his contract, and now Amare is feeling the same way too. Stoudamire may be demanding a trade down the road.

Not a bad idea on both sides, though if I'm the Heat I'm probably asking for Kaman rather than Camby. Then again, they might want to keep their payroll down in 2010 so that they can bring in someone else as well as try and re-sign Wade. A deal with the Clippers also sends Marion out of the conference so the Heat wouldn't be facing him too often. The Clippers are giving up big for small but all the same it's not too bad a deal considering Marion's talents.
