Lets make it a group thing

Started playing this Demo soon after release seeing as FM 08 has basically ruled my life. Im pretty impressed, although there are a few annoying things that stick out to me; take for example the fact that midway through the first month on one save I had to play virtually a entire reserve team for a preaseason game due to the stupid amount of injuries I had.

The press conference stuff is mean and transfer prices are far more realistic. The 3d game engine is impressive and has a lot of potential but its obviously not really ready for release, silly little things take away from it, like the fact that players will just stand with the ball for long periods of time unless you give them high creative freedom or run with ball etc, a player who is onmixed for most of his instructions should look to take the best option each time.

Players wise the updates are great (although they took down some of Arsenal's players ratings a little too much IMO :P) Also there are plenty of good young up and comers to sign which will always make it fun.

All in all ive decided that I will be waiting for the full release on the 14th before I make my full decision, but for now FM 08 is still plenty enough for me.

(Oh and Drex, Mati Fernandez is still a god on this version :D , albeit a little toned down.)

Yeap, its deffinately a major bug, they are releasing a patch on release, lets just hope it also fixes the other glaring issues with the game engine. This version has so much promise, but as it currently stands its unbearable and 08 is far more appealing.

EDIT: Continuing on from what I said I have decided that I will kepp playing the demo, but more for the purpose of learning the match engine as it is quite a lot different so my tactics that were excellent for 08 are redundant on 09.

If anybody cares to read I have found a really good thread that explains a lot about the new system and how to approach building the tactics.

Link

In particular I found posts 1, 31, and 34 very helpful for getting started.

Hehe don't get too excited, they have some work to do to make it good. At the moment think of it sorta like Live 08 on PC, except SI actually care about their customers so they already have a patch in the works to be avaliable on release.

What is WOTLK? Excuse my ignorance.

Wrath of the Lich King, new World of Warcraft expansion pack

I dont mind the minor bugs, as long as I can play through seasons and seasons of FM, I'm a satisfied customer.

Glad I didn't download the demo with all those bugs ruining the game. I hope the full version will be somewhat bugfree or is that too much to ask?

Jugs

Well the minor bugs arent so minor lol, I have pretty much my entire first team and back up attackers injured and I havent even started the season proper. Add to that the fact that all the healthy players are only 80% max going into each game and im in a bit of trouble lol.

SVG18

SI are pretty good developers, im sure they will at least fix the bugs that make it unplayable and any further bugs that arise will be fixed with another patch. Each edition there is usually at least 2 patches released. But I can understand having no faith after what the NBA Live community has been put through.
