Lakers' Odom unhappy with sixth-man status

As a fan, you want to feel that every year, but then reality kicks in and you realise it might not be the case. For all I know Bynum could end up sucking due to the time off, Gasol could disappear as usual and Odom might not like his role after a bit.

But I've got my fingers crossed that there's no drama in Hollywood this time around.

Yeah, I feel where you're coming from. But as fans, we got to be a bit more optimistic. I'm hoping for a fairytale season... but as you have pointed out, there are many many factors that may steer this off-course.

See, normally I'd say "quote me (whenever)" seals the deal on something not happening but then Drex goes and calls Brand going to the Sixers so maybe the "quote me" curse is broken.

Anyway, Odom did indeed come off the bench in the season opener to score 9 points and grab 7 rebounds in 29 minutes.
