Ive finally got 2k9 but was disappointed to have the black screen problem. After searching the net i guess the problem is my videocard but can someone confirm it. Question is if I replace my videocard given my specs can I finally play nba 2k9?
Here's my PC specs:
Intel Pentium D 3 ghz cpu
512 mb ram
current videocard: Geforce fx 5200
prospective replacement videocard: INNO3D 7300GT 512MB DDR2 128BIT
Pls. help. i want to be sure of what i need to buy/fix to play. Thanks in advance

I have a Nvida geforce 6.200 and the game does not even run! I cant get into it!
Is my video card the problem?
Fri Oct 31, 2008 1:19 pm
yes you can play with it with that new vid card but it will have many limitations
1) very lag
2) cannot support ultra high settings
try upgrading your ram to a minimum of 2gb or better buy a new computer
Fri Oct 31, 2008 1:24 pm
definitely thats the problem since the minimum required video card is 6600

Instead of buying a 7300gt buy the 9600gt or 8600gt or 7600gt or 3850 and 3870! They offer a much better performance than the ancient 7300gt and they doesn't cost too much!
Fri Oct 31, 2008 9:01 pm
thanks for your help.. btw can my pc handle the 9600gt video card and at the same time minimize lag?
Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:47 pm
Graphic card with Shader model 3.0 is needed to play, i had the same black screen problem, but i bought new card and it works great
