So the HBK-Y2J feud is on a pause perhaps, and may revive it for Wrestlemania 25 with HBK becoming the champion. Damn, one last world title run for HBK, please.

I expected an HBK loss just because I believe that it's too early for the title to change hands.

I wouldn't be surprised if Batista gets another run. Word is that he's unhappy with his role and wants to be pushed harder on RAW. The way his match with JBL was booked, it would appear that his demands have paid off.

It seems a lot of people like Morrison and Miz but I thought that segment on RAW was a complete farce. Sure, it was during a Diva match so it hardly encroached on one of the top angles on the program but I just found it incredibly grating.

Yeah I couldn't understand a word that either teams were saying, it seemed more of an unscripted Jerry Springer segment then anything.

Supposedly he had a bit of an attitude problem and rubbed people the wrong way. The straw that broke the camel's back however was that he OD'd on cocaine and had a seizure on a recent flight.

Indeed. HHH can back it up with his in-ring talent, mic skills and ability to get over big as a face or a heel though, so at least he's not a Khali out there.

Speaking of HHH, saw on WWE.com that there will be a 'Taker-Game match this Friday on Smackdown. Signs of things to come at WrestleMania?

It's been hinted at. Surprising they'd do that matchup on TV but I've read that they want to bring the viewers in on their new network (which is one of the reasons HHH is on Smackdown now) so they're pulling out all the stops with the big name talent. I haven't checked out the spoilers but I'm guessing they'll end up having Taker and HHH's Cyber Sunday opponents interfere as a way of building up those angles heading into the PPV. Once they've run through Kozlov's main event push, they'll probably start building towards a Taker/HHH showdown.

Speaking of Kozlov, I can't say I'm a fan of his push. He's not a Khali or Giant Gonzalez in the ring but he's awfully generic, very much a stock monster heel character built up with the usual squash matches against jobbers and glorified squashes against bigger names who get some offense in but still get dominated, much like Umaga's push. I guess it keeps things fresh in the main event scene but his character is too cliche, too vanilla to be really interesting.

Another Cyber Sunday come and gone.
Rey Mysterio went over Kane. I'm not really interested in the angle, they seem to have blown the momentum Kane was building and pretty much every time Rey wrestles the David vs Goliath angle is played out so it hasn't been that riveting. Sounds like it was a decent match though.

Matt Hardy is still the ECW champion, retaining against Evan Bourne. A bit too early to take the title off Hardy as he's an established worker who's way over and gives the belt some prestige by holding it, which it needs if it's going to be used to elevate up and coming wrestlers.

The IC title match sounded like a decent comedy/filler segment which I guess is fine given the situation but is kind of a waste of the belt.

Even with the Undertaker picking up the win over Big Show, it doesn't sound like the Taker/Vickie Guerrero angle is over yet. It wouldn't surprise me if it runs through a couple more PPVs before they find a way to setup Taker/HHH for Wrestlemania. It's getting a bit stale in my view but if they are working up to that Wrestlemania match then I suppose they need to mark time until then.

HHH retained the WWE Championship which isn't surprising. Now they can do the Kozlov match and keep the high profile main events coming with HHH as the defending champion.

Batista won the World Championship, which I guess proves that politics really do payoff after the way he squashed William Regal, Mark Henry and Kane on the last RAW to get the better of Jericho and then ending his reign at the PPV. I suppose you can't believe everything you read in the dirt sheets but Batista does come off as being in business for himself. I don't find him to be a very compelling champion, perhaps because of what's reported on the insider websites but I think Jericho as a heel champ was more interesting.

Oh men, I didn't expect that Y2J would lose his title. I expected him to be the champ for a longer time.

I gotta agree with Andrew that politics do payoff and Jericho as a heel champ is more interesting that Batista.

If nothing else though, it was unexpected. With Batista coming out on top and looking so dominant on the last RAW before the PPV, I figured it telegraphed Jericho going over at the event since that's usually the way it works.

But Jericho's work as heel makes him the guy to watch on Raw. Damn it should have been HBK and not Batista. :shake:
Once again:
Man, Batista's push is getting ridiculous

Oh well, the WWE's got boring lately. Edge and Orton definitely have to return and start some nice feuds.

Anyway, I was kinda surprised at the outcome, I didn't think Jericho would lay it off, but then again it would be the second straight PPV without a title change, so that would be boring too.

Anyone seen the Shaq-Marella skit? Quite funny.

Main eventers being injured or in Edge's case banged up and in need of some R&R definitely doesn't help. It doesn't help when Batista is squashing dominant heels either.

I'd like to see Michaels vs Batista at the next ppv, with interference from HHH to reform DX as heels.

They probably won't reform DX but they're probably building towards HBK/Batista at Survivor Series with the way they had them team up on RAW. JBL's supposedly going to remain in the main event picture as well.

And I doubt that they would never make DX as heels. The WWE is pro-kids right now IMO.

I think that once Cena returns, he will feud with whoever is WHC.

Cena's been confirmed to return at Survivor Series. I too beleive he'll start a feud with Batista again, not only because he's the champ, but he was the one who injured him.
