Hammond, Bucks Go Seperate Ways
ESPN - 5/10/2008

Image

Milwaukee, WI - Now former Milwaukee Bucks GM John Hammond has been sacked by the Bucks Head Office.

After only being hired in April this year, Hammond made very little moves to a team that was heading for another breakdown season. It is rumoured that arguments between Hammond and Bucks Head Coach Scott Skiles about player movement and Michael Redd in particular escaladed and came to a point where the two staff members "shouted so loud the whole organization could hear", quoted from several members at the "event".

Replacing John Hammond is long-time basketball expertise Jeremy Mason. He was on his way to a unbelieveable NBA career until a serious injury stopped his career before it started. He will begin his first task as hiring new coaching staff to an already improving Milwaukee Bucks team.

I will be playing only important games fully (recaps), will intervine some (quick recaps) and simulate the rest. Also expect monthly recaps.

FIRST GAME:

MILWAUKEE BUCKS vs. CHICAGO BULLS

Key Match-up
R. Jefferson vs. L. Deng

Both very athletic players with heart and passion. Will be a very interesting match-up...

BTW, the 'Photos" box and "Boxscore" box are clickable. Comments are welcome. EDIT: I also notice the typo "threre" instead of "there", the date say's September 16, 2008 instead of the actual date of the game and "Llimiting" instead of "Limiting". Sorry about those.

Actually this might have potential(unlike some others), I like the template, only thing is Photos and Boxscores could be same size. Good luck with it!

P.S. Which jerseys(I mean OKC jerseys) and which court your gonna use/play against OKC?

Bucks Win Home Opener (Simulated)

Bucks vs. Raptors 104-83

The Milwuakee Bucks had a comfortable win for their first home game of the season winning 104-83 led by Richard Jefferson (28 points) and Michael Redd (25 points). On the strong Raptors team Jermaine O'Neal, Chris Bosh and Jose Calderon combined for 71 points but it just was't enough.

The Bucks are now 3-0.

MIL BOXSCORE TOR BOXSCORE

Bucks Win 4th Straight (Simulated)

Bucks vs. Knicks 100-92

The Milwuakee Bucks win their 4th straight game against the New York Knicks 100-92.

It was a team effort and all five starters scored in double-digits, with Michael Redd with a team high 20 points. The Knicks also had five players with double-digit points but the poor three-point shooting and free-throw shooting compared to the Bucks costed them the game.

The Bucks are now 4-0.

MIL BOXSCORE NYK BOXSCORE

Bucks Win in OT (4th Quarter Intervention)

Bucks vs. Wizards 122-114

The Milwaukee Bucks win a thriller against a very strong Washington side 122-114.

With 11 seconds to go in the 4th quarter Gilbert Arenas's pass was intercepted by Richard Jefferson, who finished with 4 steals, and the Bucks used their last time-out. The play was an isolation for Michael Redd, but he couldn't deliver the goods, so the game went to overtime. There the Bucks and the Wizards went back and forth with the lead until Richard Jefferson made a incredible 3-point play to put the Bucks in the lead and the Wizards could never take it back. The loss was probably due to the 6th foul on Caron Butler mid-way through overtime and the 5 fouls on Gilbert Arenas.

Again, all five starters for the Bucks achieved double-digits in scoring but the most prominent is Michael Redd with 32 points and Richard Jefferson with 31 points. Gilbert Arenas had 29 points.

The Bucks are currently riding a 5-0 undefeated status but the next game against Boston and its Big 3 will show the real talent of this team.

Michael Redd Injury Update
BUCKS NEWS - 7/11/08

Image

MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd suffered an injury late in the fourth quarter against the Boston Celtics. It seems he will not miss any games but his performace will be affected. We have concluded that it is a sore elbow but we do not have a date to when he will be 100% again. He will stay in the starting line-ups but will play less minutes. We hope he will be back soon.

tough loss man; but i dig this Bucks lineup - nice mix of vets and youth; Ridnour's gotta step up and dishing more dimes; he should easily have more than 2 assists with the firepower you have; also good to see your rook Alexander getting mins and having an impact

atleast its not the shooting hand of redd ;) good thing u won 5 straight before facing the champs... what i dont like here is, the 12 minute simulation time, the game scores are too high and the players average way,way up, (43 ppg) it is not compatible with ur 7 minute game length.. maybe u cud make it 10 minutes for ur simulation.. good luck dude, and more wins!!! (Y) ;)

MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd only had to suffer a couple of days until his sore elbow recovered. He is now 100% and we hope he does not get injured soon and returns to previous form.

Huh... Magically today they seem to appear. Must have been something to do with bandwidth or something. Seems to be all in order now. (Y) Again, please post if you cannot see my pictures and I will investigate the problem.

EDIT: Okay, I have decided to ask you guys following my dynasty whether to keep my usual template and risk having them not work sometimes (like what happened before) or change so that it is just text, a picture and some links. (Seems pretty obvious but I don't like the fact that sometimes the recaps just won't appear. )

From now until I get enough votes to change I will keep my regular template.

Milwaukee Back on Track, Beat Cavs (Simulated)

Bucks vs. Cavaliers 101-80

NOV 11 -- The Milwaukee Bucks brushed off the previous two losses to beat Lebron James and the Clevlend Cavalies 101-80.

It was a balanced effort, with all of the players who played scored. Four of the five starters combined for 67 points including a game high 25 points from Michael Redd. Lebron James played well going 11-20 and scoing 24 points. However the lack of bench production hurt them in the loss.

The Bucks are now 6-2.

Bucks Beat Stuggling Spurs (Simulated)

Bucks vs. Spurs 110-97

NOV 12 -- The Milwaukee Bucks defeated a talented but stuggling San Antonio Spurs team 110-97.

Richard Jefferson had a spectacular game scoring 26 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Charlie Villaneuva also should be mentioned with 23 points and 8 rebounds. The Spurs "Big Three" had great games, scoring 76 of the Spurs 97. Tony Parker had a double-double with 18 points and 12 assists. Again a lack of bench points hurt another Bucks opposition.

The Bucks are now 7-2.

Bucks Win Three Straight, defeating Memphis (Simulated)

Bucks vs. Grizzlies 104-91

NOV 14 -- The Milwuakee Bucks won another game today beating the Memphis Grizzlies 104-91. It is their third straight double-digit win.

Charlie Villaneuva had another great game scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds, a double-double. Michael Redd scored 24 points and Andrew Bogut grabbed a unbelieveable 15 rebounds. Rudy Gay, on the Grizzlies side, scored a team-high 27 points and 6 assists. However, Memphis could not stop the offense of the Bucks which led to the loss.

This makes the Bucks 8-2.
