Get well soon: DJ AM isnt necesarrily a musical artist i have respect for (he was in crazytown for gods sake), but Travis Barker is probably in my top 3 of favorite modern drummers. Get well soon and I hope they get the best treatment they can.[/url]

^ I think he's implying that he's never heard of them, and thus, doesn't understand why there is a thread.

travis barker has been the drummer for Blink-182's later albums most notably and been in various side projects such as Boxcar Racer, +44, and the Transplants. While usually not the forefront of the projects he does his job and in my opinion does it extremely well. He also had a reality show detailing him and his family. My respect for barker comes from not only his skill, but his attitude. He loves music. He doesnt care when why or how. He just wants to play drums. He gets home from tours and gives drum lessons to local kids (im sure they pay out the ass but still). Behind Dave Grohl, he is my favorite modern drummer.

DJ AM: thats another whole story. I dont know much about him but he's often a DJ scratcher for modern pop songs and was in a 1 hit wonder band known as Crazytown that had a song Butterfly featuring the brilliant lyrics

They may not be A-list celebs but barker has had enough impact on me where i thought this thread needed to be made
