This is a bug that has come through from 2003... when you go to save, sometimes it will say "Not enough space available" when there is clearly a lot of space available! I'M TIRED OF DELETING STUFF! What is the deal with this bug???

Sorry, you might want to move this to technical issues

i wish that you could save more than one set of settings on the memory card or the harddrive. that makes absolutely no sense.

I had this issue with 2003, and EA told me to delete all the things in my temorary internet folder and history. Worked for me.

hhahah i'm laughing cuz this is so retarded.
I just installed the game last night and today when I tried to save my dynasty mode i got the dreaded insufficient free space msg as well. Once again 60gigs on my empty partition is not good enough.
Fuck you EA.
Have a nice day.

Thats really serios stuff, in Nba 2003 live I played a season
and after 20 rounds (300 games) I could not safe it, not sufficent space
was the message, so I reinstall the game on my other Hard drive
abd then it worked again, but after 49 rounds( 600 games )
there were that message again not sufficent space and I just quitted
the whole damned league, that I invested so many hours of sweat and tears.
If thats going to happened with NBA 2004, I hope they fixed that in the
coming pathch, or this game might not be any point of buying.

Well it seems to me that its not how much space is taken up on your harddrive... because i have had more or less space used and still gotten the error. Sometimes just deleting one or 2 things is enough (I tried deleting the temporary internet files, which worked). It's still an incredibly stupid error though. Maybe its something they missed in the crossover from platform to PC? Either way, it should be fixed.

Miraculously my problem got fixed too once I deleted some files in 'My Documents'. Bye bye Nba Live 2003!

The only problems is, the error seems to come back erratically.
I can't delete NBA Live 2003 yet... gotta keep some old dbf files to help with converting my programs for nba live 2004.

I just got the same thing last night, I'll have to try the Temp Inter Files fix and see if that takes care of it.
Mine had a weird companion problem, though. At (around) the same time, my Turbo button (button 6 on my Gravis Eliminator Aftershock) suddenly stopped working right in the middle of a game. Even though the game was close and my ball-handler would only walk with the ball, I still ended up winning (due mostly to the fact that in NBA Live 2K4, Yao is a freaking unstoppable monster). Then when I tried to save my season, "Not Sufficient Space". I was not a happy camper.
Anyone know anything about the controller issue? I quit the game and checked out the control panel and the button seemed to work just fine there. Also, the right analog stick wants to pull down into the 4 o'clock position, even in the control panel. I bought another one (thinking that I'd killed the first one's right stick using Freestyle with Steve Francis on 2003), but it seemed to do the exact same thing.

Gravis Eliminator Aftershock USB with latest Gravis eXperience software
Athlon 1.2ghz
512mb ram
Geforce MX 400 w 32 mb ram

You could try reinstalling the game. Install the game into a different partition if possible. That fixed it for Live 2003. Never tried it in 2004 though, but it's worth a shot.

i did what you said bishi and reinstalled the game on a diff partition which had another 20GB free space. still saying no space available. thats the only game on that partition too. and i installed madden 2004 on the same partition but i can save as many dynasty i want in madden. did live 2003 had this same problem? coz i never got this problem in 2003.

Yes, 2003 did have this problem, it happened to me all the time. Sorry to hear you can't seem to fix this problem in 04. Hopefully we will find a cure.

Hmm...you deleted your previous copy before reinstalling in that different partition right?
hmm..i'm not sure what else you can do. It's a trial and error thing, and you might have to try just randomly deleting stuff on the partition that your My Documents folder is in I guess. It's pathetic and totally retarded I know, but I don't know what else you can try. Sorry

I've just encountered this STUPID insufficient space bug.
I've deleted my temporary internet files and history files and I still can't save. How do I create a partition to install NBA Live 2004 on so I can play the game without being affected by this bug?
If I reinstall can I still keep my Saves folder, so I can pick up my Dynasty where I left off?

Not only do you give us a crap game for 2004, but you carry ovr a bug from 2003. This "Insufficient Disk Space" problem sucks. I tried deleting 10 megs of stuff on my hard drive temp directory and it still doesn't work. Usually it does. I lost a game's worth of progress with some good stats.
Oh and btw, thanks for removing the in-game save feature and the save replay feature. Live is much better this way. Those buttons were cluttering up the menu screen.
