trouble with the number of assists

im getting pretty low assists in the game, im still trying to get used to it but how do u guys out up assists? do u use plays? fastbreaks? maybe u can give me tips on how to increase my assists.. tnx:)

i could use alley oop but fastbreaks dont happen as much and sometimes the shot doesnt go in.. do pick and rolls work or any other play for that matter? thanks on the advice btw:)

I'm finding this too, very hard to run plays, most of my points come off hopstep move to the hoop at the moment.

yah, i mostly get my points using freestyle moves to make space for me 2 score.. does anybody know how many seconds it takes for it to be considered and assist?

the funny this is when i began playing the game i would get a double or triple double with a center because i would pass it to the paint and kick out for a jumper. now, i can't get assists to save my life.

I use the L2 button to pass it to man closest to basket and then dunk or shoot a jumper.

I can get my PG to avg more than 10 assist a game (7mins). I found out that when u pass the ball inside to your center, you can make 2 dribbles and that will be considered as an assist, that is while u back down on your opponent. The rest of my assist are from fast breaks.

Yeah my big men get lots of assists. Pass it down low, have them kick out, have our best shooter get the ball and drain a 3 or long ranged jumper.

Pick and roll works well.

did u change any sliders for the pcik and roll to work? itried pick and roll but i always get stuck facing backwards, only rarely do pull a succesful one..

Use off-ball control and cut to the hoop, or call the quick play 'basket cut' I can easily get 7 assists (an average average for a good pg IMO)

in 2003 all i used to do to get assists waz dat i would press da alley oop button and if he iz under da basket o near da basket i would shoot it up but if he iz far away from da basket i would pump fake and pass it back out

If I tried in 2003, it was easy to get 50+ assists in a game.

i average about 13 assists with kobe pretty easily,
all i do is pro hop into the paint then pass out to an open teammate for an...open shot hehe

u should also use pick and rolls, ie press pass and hold it, get open, release pass to get the ball back and shoot

and off the ball control too, works a treat

jayp, i believe live is pretty close to recording accurate assists imo, and if anything live is a bit lenient on what is an assist

i have scored buckets on shots that are not assists, and heard the annoucer (and recieved) an assist

but in '04, it is hard to get assist cuz the defense kinda pushes you out, and it is difficult to get guys open to shoot

im not finding it that bad ive got 14 assists in 6min quarters and most of the time i get about 6

if u run plays and dish to guys for mid range shots or throw it to the big man and if he's open immediately press layup/dunk or on fastbreaks....and drive and dish works well too

The tie goes fairly low so her neck looks streched and weird, it's not.

I find the easiest way is to memorise your plays, or even have you teams default as lets say, 1 -4 high, but with no number, then you can learn where your players will always be so you can sorta know wat to do to get them open, e.g drive and your corner man gets open, then kick it to him.

or run the break. have your pg intiate the fast break and just dish to someone close to the basket.
