I don't think he's bad at all, I saw a glimpse of him via Eurosport and he's pretty solid. None the less, the way Mafia tends to portray anyone remotely linked to Memphis, it makes the person look like they are reincarnations of Jesus.

When did I say I thought he was going to be a superstar in the league or even an all-star?

I do believe he will be a solid player in the league and could definitely be a talented starting center though. Two things I do say that he is better at than Pau is his toughness and defense. Other than that, I don't know what else to expect from him. I seen him play here during his high school years and he's came a long way. He use to be just as weak as his brother, but I guess he decided to add more weight and become a little tougher.

I know I'm one of the biggest homers on here, but the only thing I'm getting at about the Pau trade was how the media completely blasts Memphis for what they did. But, when the Kings traded Artest to Houston for an aging PG and a late 1st round player that doesn't play defense, Nuggets trade Camby for a 2nd rounder, Kings trade Bibby for 4 bench players, etc. and I can bet you any kind of money that the media didn't blast them as hard as they did Memphis for the Pau deal. I know I'm not God to say that five years from now, Crittenton, Darrell Arthur, Marc Gasol and whomever we get from the capspace we have will be better than Pau, but its not a long shot. The value we got back in that deal is a lot better than what other teams received in the deals I listed above. That's all I'm saying.

It's still confusing on Memphis side about why they would offer Smith a deal like that knowing that ATL will match and losing the chance to get him next offseason. They may go after Iguodala, move Mayo to the point and trade Conley for a starting PF. They may just wait and go after Boozer next off-season and offer Bynum something that LAL wouldn't be willing to give him. I don't know what they will do, but I do know the team has a lot of young talent and for the people that may only see 1 game every season from them can't even judge them off that. Somebody even said that ATL without Josh Smith is better than Memphis without Josh Smith. WTF

It sounds like Iguodala and the Sixers are on a similar wavelength and will get a deal worked out though, so he's probably out. As for why they went for Smith, I suppose they figured they had nothing to lose by trying even if it was a longshot.
