I actually have a lot of faith in Batum, but of course I want to see how he performs in Summer League/Pre Season

Batum or Diogu, neither the two would be in the Blazers' rotation, but to complete their active line up, I think Batum is a great player for them.. He's long and athletic, I think he would be a great wing defender in the future when he develops.. Wing defenders are one of the most important piece in a team's championship run.. This would enable them to stop the opposing team's top scorer.. Remember, defense win championships.. Batum was even on top of mock drafts before until there were rumors regarding his heart problems..

Thanks Scoop.. I'm a Brandon Roy fan that's why I really love the Blazers.. They have a great group of guys that are young and talented and they have a great future ahead of them.. I really love how they work during draft nights..

I just checked out our summer league roster and there is no Greg Oden or Rudy Fernandez?!...That sucks because I've been looking forward to seeing how they'd perform :-(

I am really curious to see how Australian, Aleks Maric plays and how much PT he is given as well...

Yep, wasn't drafted. Played with Indiana (I think) in the Orlando Summer league. Is currently a free agent, and will probably remain that way

Yup.. He's more of a SG than a PG though.. He likes to drive and can really get to the charity stripe...

that's alright as Roy is more of a playmaking SG & tends to play a lot more like a PG....plus they got other young PG's coming through....

bowdown, Thanks for the video link (Y)

He looks to be coming along ok. We had a good season last year and we can only get better with him in the side, so I'm very excited about this season.

Another Blazer with knee problems: Brandon Roy :-(

http://www.nba.com/blazers/news/Roy_to_ ... -1218.html

Is this the same surgery that Greg Oden did? Because if it is, not good news for the Blazers...

Oden was MicroFracture. But I still think Arthroscopic is pretty serious..

EDIT: Arthroscopic isn't that serious. He'll be out for about 6 weeks maybe. So he should be back for the beginning of the season

As I read Brandon Roy has a torn meniscus...

Meniscus is the most fast healing part of the knee, it took 6 to 8 weeks after surgery.

At least it's not a tear of the ACL or MCL

Stupid Celtics signing stupid Darius Miles. If he plays 10 games, his salary goes back on Portland's books, the way I understand it.
