I don't get the whole "retiring", thing

This is a hobby not a job, so why not treat it as such.
If you feel like taking a break, take a break from patching. Patching is something patchers enjoy doing, whenever you feel like it. No one is required to put out patches as if being payed for it.
Patchers do it for a little gratitude and recognition of their talent to do so, and to be known as one of the best in the world at doing it i.e. King James, A_Nuke etc.
Patching is a way of artistic expression and all the patchers here are artist. Patchers like Papa_Jack (R.I.P) spent significant time patching because he enjoyed it and he knew it would make someone half way around the world happy...isn't that what its all about?
But if you (Peter or other patchers) thinks it takes up too much of your time, just cut back a bit, don't go so hard at it. Every patcher in the community is necessary
So don't say goodbye Peter, just say your taking a break. Your good at this I know you won't be away too long
