Well, this morning I woke up to the missing cat meowing outside the back door. It was really sad seeing him look around the house for his sister, but I am so glad he is alive. It really cheered everyone in the house up to know that one cat survived and to have closure.

The one that died: Petra (hence my member title)
The one that lived: L.B.J. (Little Baby Jesus)

Thanks for the support through all of this. We are thinking of getting another cat in a month or so to give LBJ a companion, but we are worried about how our dog will react to it.

Just found out that there was an earthquake near Chino Hills, California. That's where my parents live. I already emailed them as well as my siblings and hopefully they are okay.

Lamrock, I'm sorry to hear about your cat, man. That fucking sucks. I lost a male cat a long time ago when we found him dead when we got home. The garage was left open by mistake and he was apparently killed by coyotes.

I guess it's a good thing I'm overprotective and I keep my 9 month old cat inside my house at all times (even if he only wants to get the hell outta there), with all the crazy animals and the retarded drivers we have around here...Sorry to hear this lamrock.

I felt that earthquake. It was rated 5.8. Felt a big jolt then a steady roll. I checked the news and I haven't heard if there were any serious damages or deaths.

It sucks to lose a pet, lamrock. My family has always had pets, so we know what both your family and LBJ are going through.

It was apparently downgraded to 5.4, and indeed, no injuries or damages have been reported for now. I've never felt an earthquake, that must be frightening as shit...

I felt quite a few in my lifetime. I remember the Northridge quake in '97 (I think). It was 6.7 and like 60-80 people died and it caused billions in damage.

El_badman, I can tell you from personal experience that they aren't fun, but you just get used to it after awhile. I lived in Califonia until 2004, so I know what it's like.

That's crazy shit, living in France most of my life, I can barely imagine what an earthquake would feel like, we never get any over there. I've never experienced any in NM or TX either, or even when I lived in Los Angeles for one year.

man the big Northridge earthquake in 91(?) on MLK day fucked with me becuase I was 6. i was afraid to leave my mom's side and the day after i sat under my aunt's desk all day and watched tv from there. i always get queasy when the ground shakes since then.

today I was at work in Orange when i felt something coming then the products on the walls started to shake and i just stood there looking at the products shake. then the floor went all crazy and i felt like i was surfing or something.

Guitar Hero III has been a source of frustration lately, specifically when I've missed a note towards the end of a song just when it looks like I'll score 100% on it.

I can't even finish GH3 on hard. I got to the last set of songs and I was like WTF? I am not going to learn those songs just to finish it.

Ugh, I know. I am on the tier with Knights of Cydonia, 3's and 7's, and two shitty heavy metal songs, and I only have 1/4 songs completed. Ridiculous.

I should post me 5 starring One on Expert for you guys :D . I wonder if I can still do it....

...but yea, maybe I should see if I can 5* all instruments on 1 song in rock band instead.
Opinions are my own.

Fuck Apple.

Finally decided to update iTunes after getting sick of the nag screens to update. So I do, it asks me if I would like to update quicktime as well...yes, then it asks if I would like to install Safari....no.

So I load up the help for AutoCAD just now and it starts up in Safari and not Firefox. WTH? So I go to uninstall Safari and it says some BS that it is a protected program or some shit so I can't uninstall it. So the short version, I, someone who seems to be a tiny bit more competent than the IT guy here has to ask him to uninstall the program for me since it was an admin protected program.

Fuck you Apple.
Opinions are my own.

Yeah, the AppleUpdater has been prompting me to download and install Safari for Windows the last few times it's grabbed updates for iTunes. A permanent "No, and don't ask me again" option would be handy.

Actually using the Safari that came with the iTunes update right now, doesn't work too bad.

Hola NLSC. I spent a month in Ecuador volunteering in the Amazon Rainforest. Greatest experience of my life.

While there I fell head over heels in love with an Irish girl and I'm moving to Dublin for a year to be with her.
